Chen Li, the original singer of "Red Bean Song", is a Chinese mainland female singer.
Chen Li was born in Jilin, China, and is the original singer of the 1987 version of Dream of Red Mansions songs.Chen Li began her career as a Peking Opera student, and later worked as a lab technician for FAW in Changchun.Wang Liping, the composer for the 87th edition of the TV series Dream of Red Mansions, discovered her, and asked her to take part in recording the theme song for the series. Chen Li sang the musical songs of the 87th version of Dream of Red Mansions TV series, interpreting the sad voice from heaven, and also played the role of Sister-in-law Liu in the series. 2007, Chen Li participated in CCTV's program "Artistic Life - Dream of Red Mansions Reunion".
