On this day last year, in this door, the peach blossoms set each other off in red, and the peach blossoms still smiled in the spring breeze. What feelings are you expressing?

This poem, written by Cui Hu in the Tang Dynasty, is entitled "The South Village of Jingshi", which expresses the vicissitudes of the world, the impermanence of gathering and dispersing, and explores the fruitless loss, frustration and helplessness of beautiful women. Last year, I was deeply moved by a beautiful woman in this place, which may be a kind of fate. Today, I revisited my old place, but I didn't see her again. Girl, why are you here today? Do you know anyone who is crazy about you?

Tang Dynasty-Cui Hu

Last spring, in this door, the girl's face contrasted with the peach.

Today, I came here again. I don't know where the girl went. Only the peach blossoms are still there, smiling in full bloom in the spring breeze.

The writing time of this poem is not clearly recorded in the historical records. However, Tang Meng's Skill Poetry and the Song Dynasty's Taiping Guangji both recorded this poem: Cui Hu met a beautiful girl in the southern suburbs of Chang 'an after failing to take the Jinshi exam in Chang 'an, and Tomb-Sweeping Day revisited this girl the following year, so he wrote this poem. This record is legendary, and its authenticity is difficult to be confirmed by other historical materials.
