The impetuousness brought about by prosperity

Since I was a child, I have seen various markets for more than 20 years.

I still remember the joy of going to the market when I was a child. On the days when I went to the market, I finished my homework early and then ran to the market to play. Ringing, catching goldfish, and all kinds of food. He often shows off his skills at the airsoft booth.

I have seen that kind of vegetable market: a cement shelf, and vendors put pork and vegetables on it to sell and shout. It also has a unique flavor.

There are also the kind of shopping malls that existed many years ago: there are all kinds of shops on one street. The stores are not decorated or prosperous, there are no bright advertisements, and there are no loudspeakers. Saying "big sale, big sale." The shopkeeper sat quietly in the shop, or knitted a sweater or embroidered cross-stitch. There is also a sense of quiet and peace.

I don’t know when various large commercial plazas will appear, such as Wanda and so on.

I don’t like shopping, let alone going to such squares. I can probably count on two hands the number of times I've been there since I was this old. (If you can’t count, add two feet, you can definitely count.)

The summer workers had an hour and a half break at noon, and I happened to enter Wanda Plaza, so I went in and took a look around.

There are no loudspeakers hawking, and no speakers blasting some rock music. The decoration is exquisite and elegant, but it makes people feel impetuous.

The glossy advertisements and the color changes are dazzling. Although the model has yellow skin, she has some "squinty eyes". I don’t know if foreigners understand it like this or if it means something insulting. In the advertisement, an Oriental girl was walking in her underwear as if no one else was around. When she looked up, it turned out to be an advertisement for an underwear store.

Walking in the square, people shopping in shopping malls are also dressed brightly. When I walked among them, I felt that I was dressed very plainly (a country bumpkin).

I don’t know why, but I just feel impetuous.

There is a bookstore on the third floor, so go in and have a look. All kinds of noise outside were instantly cleared. After shopping around, a few more books were added to the book list.

As soon as I left the bookstore, I felt impetuous again.

Prosperity brings impetuosity, I know this very well. Looking back at the history, people were singing and dancing, enjoying themselves and having a good time. Who are the people who grew up in this kind of environment? Suddenly I remembered what Zheng Qiang said: "The blood of the Chinese people has been wiped out in this life of debauchery."

Of course, this idea is too much. Extreme, but there are always hidden dangers in extreme.

A long time ago, some people thought newspapers would destroy the world. Television will destroy the world. Although it didn't happen in the end, its impact was far-reaching, especially in the Internet era. (If you are interested, you can read "Entertaining You to Death")

But no matter what, prosperity will always breed some dark sides in human nature. There is no doubt about this.
