In May 2008, "Kung Fu Panda" was released in theaters, and on October 21 of the same year, the top management of the famous American DreamWorks Animation and the creative team of "Kung Fu Panda" came to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to look for creative inspiration. On that day, the CEO, producer and director were allowed to enter the panda's maternity ward and meet Kung Tsai, who was only 3 months old at the time. He was very mischievous, dancing and biting his hands, and was as good as the "Kung Fu Panda" on the big screen.
Jeffrey Katzenberg, chief executive of DreamWorks Animation, got a photo of Kung Fu and immediately said, "I'm going to take the photo back to the U.S., and I'm going to tell them that this is Po." After that, the creative team back in the U.S. began work on "Kung Fu Panda 2," which unraveled the mystery of "Po's" origins.
"Kung Fu Panda" Synopsis
"Kung Fu Panda" is a movie that was born in Hollywood, and therefore its story reflects American culture. After practicing hard, Po, who was originally a good eater and sleepy and had no skills, developed a world-class kung fu and eventually defeated the villain Tai Lung. The basic story line of the hero's transformation from weak to strong portrays a bumpy route of hero growth, which expresses the inspirational concept of "everyone can be successful" in American culture. The story of Po, the one and only hero in the movie, who conquers evil by his own strength, reflects American individual heroism.
The director has added a lot of Chinese philosophical ideas into this Chinese style obvious martial arts story, reflecting the great wisdom of Chinese philosophy. For example, when Turtle Master predicted that Tai Lung would break out of prison, he said, "The son wants to avoid it, but urged to meet it", and the final development of things as Turtle Master predicted, want to prevent Tai Lung from breaking out of prison, the master in the wrong way, but to help Tai Lung reflects the Taoist "do nothing to rule" idea. The idea of "no action, no rule" is the Taoist way of thinking.
