Why square dancing has a great impact on residents' lives

(a) Nuisance problem. As the square dance is mostly held in the open space near the neighborhood, and the time is mostly concentrated after dinner, when it is the peak time for many off-duty people to return to the neighborhood. Due to the gathering of dancers, the traffic near the neighborhood is not smooth, especially some private car owners may be occupied by the temporary parking place, resulting in conflicts between car owners and dancers. In addition, the music of the square dance is very rhythmic and loud, it is easy to noisy neighboring households, especially when the residents do not like this kind of music, and the square dance is repeated every day, it is easy to provoke the residents.

(ii) Environmental pollution. Square dance participants often come out with their grandchildren, and square dances also attract some people to stop and watch. Due to the population aggregation effect brought about by the square dance, some stalls and vendors see the business opportunity to sell barbecue, cold drinks and other food near the square dance, when the crowd dispersed, the square or around the open space will often be left with plastic bags, lunch boxes, bamboo sticks, bamboo chopsticks and other garbage, often until the next day will be the property or sanitation workers to clean up.
