Pacific Lyrics "The Legend of the White Snake"

The beauty of Hangzhou is unparalleled in the world

The exotic flowers and grasses along the West Lake are fragrant in all seasons

The peaches and willows are green on the Su Causeway in spring

Summer, the lotus blossoms are all over the ponds

The moon in the fall is like the turquoise water

In the winter, the snow is all over the mountains

My name is White Snake of the Gommei Mountain.

In the heavenly realm, Zhang Jade Emperor

Angrily, he sent Fa Hai to the mortal world

The Abbot of Jinshan Temple

On this day, Xu Hanwen burned incense to repay his wish

Old Fa Hai blocked the way to the temple, and he began to speak

I have determined that your wife is a python with many years of experience

To entangle you, you must be a thief of the true yang

With Xu Xian's wife, you can see that the white snake is the one who stole the true yang from the mountain.

There is Xu Xian heard of this soul flew away

Left in the Wenshu courtyard is not yet transferred to the Qiantang

The green and white snake in a rage to find the temple

Finger the door of the mountain scolded the monks

Release out of the son of the husband is just a matter of time

Otherwise under the blue blade sword bald-headed dead

The monks hastily closed the door of the mountain

Holding his head to run away from the palace The little Qing'er has brought the fish soldiers and crab generals

The water tribe has shown its magic power to flood the Buddha Hall

Old Fa Hai sits on the lotus platform and chokes and recites incantations

The water rises up even in the temple, and the walls cannot be filled with water

The people of Qiantang County have suffered

Hundreds of thousands of people have died under the water

Half a dozen of them have been killed in the water

The Heavenly Soldiers and Generals have come from heaven

The Golden, Wood, and Nezha Princes have come from the sky

The Golden, Wood, and Nezha Princes have come from heaven. Jinzha, Muzha, Nazha, Prince Pagoda, Heavenly King

The four guards, the twenty-eight lodges

Yang Erlang, the six generals of Meishan, who were filling up the mouth

Li Tianwang, in his anger, raised the Pagoda

and was about to injure the white serpent

Master Kuixing, in mercy, rescued her to save her from escape

because in her womb she was carrying the scholar scholar boy

The old Fahai said to Xu Xian

We will give him this gift.

I'll give you the Buddha's mantle to subdue the demon

Xu Hanwen took the mantle and was hard-hearted

He stumbled and ran to Qiantang

On the way there, the peach and apricot rains drizzled

The willow winds continued to blow

Not minding that the Lianlizhi branches were blown away by the wind

Not minding that the bird of pearl was killed or injured by a stick

The jade was broken, the pearl sank and the man was gone

Mirror flowers and water, the two sides of the mirror, the two sides of the water, the two sides of the mirror and the two sides of the water were broken.

Mirror and water and moon

Through the streets and alleys, how quickly

Opening the curtains and walking into the heartless man

White Lady saw the Buddha's bowl and shuddered

Warning and trembling with fear, her jade body powdered and burnt

Honorable husband, lift up his hand and make way for the slave

Can't help but shed thousands of tears in the autumn waves

Nu was greedy for you and didn't want to go up to the immortal world.

Slave gave birth to Xu's son for you

I used to remember the lake and borrowing umbrellas

I used to remember the meeting of mandarin ducks under the red tent

Duanyang Day on the fifth day of the fifth month

Didn't you think that husband and wife should sit down and drink xionghuang

Three cups of wine went down their throats, and they fell down drunk on the Golden Tent

Revealing themselves in their original form, they scared the lives of their children into the hands of the King of Hades

Nave stole the return of the Long Lifespan Mountains for you, and then returned it to your husband, who was also the king of the underworld. I stole back the herb from Longevity Mountain

and fought with the mountain guardian

Thanks to the compassion of the Longevity Star

Giving the life-preserving elixir to the mountain

I came in and poured the elixir into my teeth with a gold hairpin

and rescued my son's husband to return to the earth

I just said that you burned the incense and returned the wish on the gold mountain

This is the first time that you have been deceived by a disaster. I'm not sure if you're a good person, but I'm a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person, but I'm not sure if you're a good person, and I'm not sure if you're a good person.

It's as if I'm flowing into the sea

It's as if I'm flowing into the ocean

It's as if I'm holding my little girl in my arms

It's as if my belly is aching and my heart is aching and my tears are pouring out of my chest

I'm taking another bite of my mother's broken breast milk

I've been away from my mother ever since

Blame on my mother

Blame on your father's heart

Blame on your dad's conscience

Blame on your little girl

Blame on your father

Blame on your little sister, Qing Er

This is the first time I've ever seen a woman in the world who has been in the world for a long time

Expanded Information:

The Legend of the White Snake has a long history and is one of the four major folk love legends in China (the remaining three being Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, Meng Jiangnu, and Cowherd and Weaving Maiden).

The Legend of the White Snake matured and flourished during the Qing Dynasty, and is an example of collective Chinese folk creation. It describes the twisted love story between a snake spirit who has cultivated into human form and a human being. The story includes the umbrella on the canopy boat, the White Snake's theft of ganoderma lucidum, the flooding of San Francisco, the Broken Bridge, the Thunder Peak Pagoda, the sacrifice of Xu Xian's son Shilin to the pagoda, and Fa Hai's attempts to escape from death by disappearing into the belly of a crab. It expresses the people's yearning for the freedom of love between men and women and their hatred for the unreasonable constraints of the feudal forces. The story was listed in the "first batch of national intangible cultural heritages". And this story as the prototype of a number of film and television dramas and animated films.

The Legend of the White Snake was widely circulated in China, first orally, and then in folklore in the form of commentary, storytelling, and play-acting, which gradually evolved into theatrical performances. Later, there were novels, and after the Republic of China, there were also operas, opera and cartoons. In modern times, there are also movies based on The Legend of the White Snake, choreographed modern dances, and newly written novels. The story appeared under the name of "The Legend of the White Snake" in the late Qing Dynasty, and did not have a fixed name before that.

The Tale of the White Snake was not only popular in China, but was also made into a movie in Japan. The French sinologist Julien also translated "The Legend of the White Snake" into French.

Because the story of the White Snake was predominantly passed down orally in the early days, it has given rise to different versions and details. Some of the original stories end when Bai Suzhen is suppressed under the Leifeng Pagoda, some have the episode of the White Snake giving birth to a son, and others have the happy ending when the son of the White Snake later wins the Scholarship and saves his mother by sacrificing himself to the pagoda. But the basic elements of the story are generally believed to have been in place in the Southern Song Dynasty.

The earliest recorded version of the story of the White Snake is found in Feng Menglong's "A Cautionary Tale", Volume 28, "The White Snake's Yongzhen Leifeng Pagoda". In the early Qing Dynasty, Huang Tujuan's Leifeng Pagoda (Kan Shan Ge Ben), the earliest organized textual creation of a circulating opera, only wrote that the White Snake was suppressed under the Leifeng Pagoda and did not give birth to a son to offer to the pagoda. Later on, the old Liyuan copy (probably made by Chen Jiayan's father and daughter, the surviving copy of the score is incomplete) appeared again, which is the widely circulated copy with the plot of White Snake giving birth to a son.

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Fang Chengpei adapted a thirty-four-volume Leifeng Pagoda Legend (Shui Zhuju Ben),*** in four volumes, the first volume from "The First Mountain", "Collecting the Green", to "Boat Encounters", "Engaging an Alliance", the second volume is "Duanyang", "Seeking Grass", the third volume has "Visiting the Ch'an" and "Watergate", and the fourth volume is from "The Broken Bridge", to "Sacrificing a Pagoda" to conclude the story. The main outline of the White Snake story has been largely completed since then.

And the book of this play was presented to Qianlong during his southern tour, so there was a signboard of the Qianlong Emperor's royal inspection, which made the story of "The Legend of the White Snake" known to all levels of society. Later, in the eleventh year of Jiajing, Master Jade Mountain published another Chinese novel, Leifeng Pagoda Strange Tale. In the fourteenth year of Jiajing, there appeared another playbook, "Biography of a Righteous Demon", by which time the story of the snake spirit had completely changed from a mere bewitching demon to a sentient woman.
