Xie Zhen is a character in Water Margin, nicknamed the Two Headed Snake, who was originally a hunter in Dengzhou. He and his younger brother Xie Bao was framed by the landlord Mao Taigong for hunting tigers and imprisoned, and then escaped from prison to fight against Dengzhou, and went to Liangshan to join the gang. When Liangshan Mountain gathered together, he was ranked thirty-fourth, and served as the leader of the foot soldiers on the Heavenly Storm Star. He was killed in battle at Wulongling during the conquest of Fang La, and was posthumously awarded the title of Zhongwulang (忠武郎).
