There are the following verses:
1. Four Songs of Drinking Alone Under the Moon - One of Them
Li Bai [Tang Dynasty]
A pot of wine among the flowers, drinking alone without any relatives.
Raising a glass to invite the moon, and making a trio of shadows.
The moon does not know how to drink, but the shadow follows me.
The moon and the shadows will be with me for a while, but I will not be able to enjoy myself until spring.
I sing the moon's song, I dance the shadows.
When I woke up, we had fun together, but when I got drunk, we were scattered. (
When I woke up, I sang with the moon, and when I got drunk, I was scattered.
Translation:
A pot of wine was set out among the flowers, and I poured myself a cup of wine, without a single friend or relative by my side.
Lifting my cup to the sky and inviting the bright moon, opposite my shadow, I became three.
Both the moon and the shadow could not understand the joy of drinking, and the shadow could only silently follow me around.
For the time being, with the bright moon and shadow as my companions, I will take advantage of this spring night to have fun in time.
I recite poetry and the moon wanders with me, I dance with my hands and feet and the shadow limps with me.
When I'm sober I share my joy with you, but when I'm drunk I go my own way.
I would like to make a friendship that forgets the hurt forever, and meet by the misty Milky Way.
2. Drinking Alone on Qingming Day
Wang Yucheng [Song Dynasty]
The only official leisure in a county is the deputy ambassador, and the cold festival of the year is Qingming.
When will spring come and go, and when will it be over?
The paint swallows and orioles boast of their healthy tongues, while the willow flowers and elm pods fight for a lighter body.
Take off your clothes and get some wine from the Shangshan Mountain.
Translation:
A local official's only idle post is that of a deputy envoy, and the coldest festival of the year is the Qingming Festival.
When does spring come to an end, and idle hatred and idle sorrow sprout wherever they go.
Swallows and orioles vie with each other in chirping, willow flakes and tree pods compete.
Taking off his official clothes in exchange for the wine of Shangshan, where the hermits live, he laughs alone at the verses of Li Sao.
3, the first summer of the South Pond alone
Bai Juyi [Tang Dynasty]
Spring is over and the miscellaneous Ying rests, and the grass is deep at the beginning of summer.
The wind is blowing from the south, blowing the forest on the pool.
The green apples are still scattered, the red carp jumps and sinks again.
The new leaves have good colors, and the old warbler still has a good voice.
It's a good thing I'm still in the family, and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do anything about it.
It's a shame that I don't have any recreational work to do, so I'm going to write about it.
The situation is better than the talent, the poem is not satisfactory.
Translation:
In the late spring, all colors of flowers have faded, but in the early summer, the grass is very luxuriant.
A warm wind blew from the south into the woods by my pond.
When the wind came, it blew the duckweed in the pond away, and when the wind stopped, the duckweed gathered together again. The red carp in the pond jumped out of the water from time to time and sank back to the bottom.
The new leaves of the trees are verdant and emit a beautiful glow. Yellow warblers chirped in the forest, and their song in late spring was still beautiful.
I drank by the pool and played the qin against the wind, my favorite poems in my heart still being those of Xie Ling Yun.
I held my pen and pondered hard, trying to write good poems, but I could not make poems as good as Xie Lingyun's, and felt ashamed.
The scenery around me was beautiful, but I was drained of ideas, and I barely managed to make a poem, but I felt dissatisfied when I looked at it.
4. Five Poems on the Ninth Day - One of Them
Du Fu [Tang Dynasty]
The sunrise of the year is the first day of the year when I drink wine in a cup alone, and I climbed up to the platform on the river when I was sick.
Bamboo leaves have no part to play in a person's life, and chrysanthemums need not bloom from now on.
The sun goes down on the other side of the world and the apes cry, and the geese come in before the frost of the old country.
Where are the younger siblings, and where are the younger siblings, and where are the younger siblings?
Translation:
On the occasion of the Chung Yeung Festival, I was sick and went on stage, just wanting to drink a glass of wine alone while enjoying the beautiful colors of the nine autumns.
Since I cannot drink wine on the Chongyang Festival, there is no need for chrysanthemums to open.
At sunset came the audible cries of the black apes, and for a long time they could not be heard, and the white geese coming from the south brought the frosty news of Chang'an.
Where are the loved ones who cannot meet now? War is frequent and constant, and the years keep hastening people to death.
5. Emei Pavilion
Zhang Yining [Ming Dynasty]
Two silver bottles of blue wine, drinking alone at Emei Pavilion.
I don't see the banished immortals, but I see the three green mountains.
Autumn colors are coming up from the Huai, pale and full of clouds.
I would like to play the fifteen strings with the dragon.
Translation:
Bringing two bottles of good wine with him, he came to the Emei Pavilion to drink alone.
No Li Bai, the poet, was to be seen, but the three mountains were still green and pale.
Autumn permeates from north to south, drowning the cloudy Tingzhou.
Hands stroking the zither, no one around, had to play to the augur.
