Lv Yuan (September 11, 1929 ~) is originally from Lujiazhuang, Haiyang County, Shandong Province, and was born in Dandong, Liaoning Province. He spent his early childhood in his hometown of Shandong, where he was y impressed by salvation songs, Jiaodong folk songs and local operas, and taught himself to play the guitar, violin and other musical instruments. 1948, he joined the Liaodong Provincial Forestry Bureau, and was recommended by his organization to study at the Music Department of the Northeast Normal University in 1951, where he was assigned to be a composer of the Civilian Troupe of the Ministry of Construction and Engineering of the Council of State in 1953, and later served as the chairman of the Troupe's Artistic Committee. 1963, he was transferred to the Song and Dance Troupe of the Navy Political Department as the Artistic Committee of the Navy's Political Department. In 1963, he was transferred to the Song and Dance Troupe of the Political Department of the Navy as an artistic director. In his more than 60 years of musical career, he composed more than 1,000 songs and about 100 operas, dance dramas and movie and television music. His melody has a touching lyricism, rich in national style and local characteristics, and in 1980, he published Lv Yuan Songs Collection.
