Qingyuan, also known as Fengcheng, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province, is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Beijiang River, and as early as the Neolithic Age, there were pioneers who flourished in this land and created a splendid prehistoric civilization.
Qingyuan is located in the north-central part of Guangdong Province, in the middle reaches of the Beijiang River, on the south side of the Nanling Mountain Range and the Pearl River Delta. Guangzhou and Foshan City in the south, Hunan Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the north, east and northeast and Shaoguan City border, west and southwest and Zhaoqing City as neighbors. The distance between north and south is 190 kilometers, east and west is about 230 kilometers, and the length of the boundary line is more than 1,200 kilometers. Qingyuan has a total land area of 19,000 square kilometers, accounting for about 10.6% of the province's total land area, making it the largest prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province in terms of land area.

1, Yao Juggling Songtang
Yao Juggling Songtang has been a large-scale cultural activity of Qingyuan Paiyao since the Ming Dynasty and is a folk event integrating the commemoration of ancestor, remembrance of history, celebration of harvests, dissemination of knowledge and mass recreation, which has a history of more than 600 years. In May 2006, the Yao Juggling Song Hall was approved by the State Council to be included in the list of representative items of the first national intangible cultural heritage.
2, Yao long encouragement
Yao long encouragement is mainly distributed in Qingyuan Liannan Yao Autonomous County of Pai Yao settlement, is a square celebratory dance. Every Spring Festival, March 3, June 6, October 16 and other traditional festivals and juggling songs, the Paiyao compatriots gathered in the square in front of the village or the field after the harvest, blowing the bullhorn, banging the gong, hit the long drum and dance, in order to celebrate the festival. There are 36 sets of performance programs for long drum dance, which can be divided into single dance, double dance and group dance. There is no limit to the number of people who can perform the group dance, and the more people there are, the more enthusiastic the atmosphere. The dance is characterized by rugged, robust movements and fast, agile rhythms.
