Crazy Frog Characters

Crazy Frog

The founder of Crazy Frog was a young Swedish boy named Daniel, who tried to mimic the sound of a humming engine with electronic music. The tune was then adopted by a German cell phone ringtone website, who added German electronic dance music and bass accompaniment to it. In 2004, "Crazy Frog's" cell phone ringtone was put on the Internet and quickly spread to all young people's cell phones, becoming wildly popular. "Crazy Frog" also spawned peripheral merchandise and toys, as well as two video games.

Frog by Frog

Mad Frog's cell phone ringtone stormed the UK singles chart, the first big musical triumph for a cell phone ringtone.

Crazy Frog was the music of an animated frog with a big grin and a simple catchy tune, "Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding". Having become a cartoon star, the network has taken note of the problems raised by viewers and has revised any images of the frog's genitals in recent commercials, despite having passed muster in February.

The main theme of "Crazy Frog" was originally written by Swede Daniel Malmeda, who conceived of "Crazy Frog" while mimicking the sound of a car engine with an electronic instrument. In 2004, the German wireless entertainment company "Jamba!" adopted "Crazy Frog" as a ringtone song for cell phones, making the song In 2004, the German wireless entertainment company "Jamba! The subsequent album Crazy Frog introduced Crazy Access and the second single "Popcorn" also enjoyed worldwide chart success, and the second album entitled Crazy Frog Crazy Access was released in 2006. Crazy Frog also spawned a line of merchandise, toys, and two video games.

Name

In 1997, 17-year-old student Daniel Malmedahl recorded himself posing as a combustion engine with the resulting noise. He published this on a Web site and drew the attention of a Swedish television researcher, who believed that Daniel performed a sound life on the air. After being listed on TV, recordings of his performance began to appear on peer-to-peer file **** enjoyment networks and various websites under the filename "2TAKTARE" sound effects will soon be adopted by the sound of a motorcycle.

In late 2005, Malmedahl researcher Erik Wernquist of Sweden encountered the sound effect and was inspired to create a 3D animation "The Annoying Thing" to accompany it. Erik used Lightwave 3D modeling to apply the animation production and post it on his website. The animation was a hit on Eric's site, but the sound made was credited to "John Doe". Finally, the word reached Daniel and he demonstrated the animation used for the now well known. He contacts Eric and apparently gives an impromptu performance to confirm his claim. Eric believed and gave credit to Daniel for his creation. This was broadcast for the first time on two Belgian commercials by Ringtone Europe and Jamster Belgium (now both merged into Ramba!) in mid-2004.

Ringtones

In 2004, the German-based Ramba! Group (ultimately owned by VeriSign who sold 51% of the group to Fox in 2006) licensed animated and sound distributions as cell phone ringtones. Ramba! (trading names such as Jamster!, RingtoneKing, etc.) accompanied the release of ringtones with a flurry of advertising. It quickly became the most recognizable commercial ringtone in the UK. Ramba! won an estimated £14 million from the ringtone, making it the most commercially successful ringtone of all time. Ramba! also produced other successful ringtones including Candy Chicken and Loch Ness Monster Dragon, and produced other ringtones featuring Crazy Frog including Crazy DJ Frog. There was also a series of Mad Frog world tour ringtones featuring the frog performing on his usual soundtrack of different national musical styles. These include sitar-flavored "Crazy Frog India", reggae-flavored "Crazy Frog Jamaica" and Jimmy Barnes-style "Crazy Frog Aussie Rock".

Controversy

Mad Frogs first aired on Belgian television in mid-2004.

In February 2005, a number of viewer complaints were lodged with the United Kingdom's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) about the Jamster! ads, complaining that Crazy Frog appeared to have genitals. Some parents complained that this was inappropriate for children to view and claimed that the commercial prompted embarrassing questions. In response to such complaints by Jamster!'s marketing manager, Swift was quoted as saying that his only complaint was that "Crazy Frog is a better talent than I am." There have also been complaints about the frequency of appearances in television commercials, reportedly up to twice as many hours most areas of the day, with some channels showing more than one commercial break.

The oil company did not uphold the complaints, noting that the ad had been classified as unsuitable for broadcast on children's television programs because it contained a phone number for insurance rates, and said it was the frequency of the broadcasts that dictated that the ads should be shown.Jamster! censored ads of a voluntary nature for genitalia (via pixelization) in later broadcast programs. A similar action took place in Australia, with similar results. in April 2005, television viewers complained about misleading advertisements produced by Ramba! which traded on Jamster and RingtoneKing. viewers felt that it was not clear enough that they were subscribing to a service rather than paying a one-off fee for ringtones. It cost £3 a week to subscribe to the Jamster! service. Complaints were mainly from parents, who felt their children were being misled. They felt that Jamster! was taking advantage of their children so that they could make a bigger profit.

In May 2005, viewers were flooded with new complaints about aspirin as the latest Crazy Frog advertisement continued to air. The intensity of the ads was unprecedented in the history of British television. According to Guardian, Jamster bought 73,716 spots on all TV channels in May alone - an average of nearly 2,378 slots a day - at a cost of about £8.0m, less than half of which was spent on ITV. 87% of the population saw the Mad Frog ads an average of 26 times, 15% saw the ads appearing twice in the same ad break, and 66% saw them in consecutive ad breaks. It is estimated that 10% of the population saw the ad more than 60 times. This led many members of the demographic to survey Crazy Frog because of the huge excitement implied by its original name.

The authority had already ruled on the matter and confirmed that the matter was not within its remit, an unusual step considering the addition of notification to their online and telephone complaints system, informing viewers that complaints about Jamster! must be shown after 9pm. This ruling was amended on January 25, 2006, to uphold the 'hold' decision, but the revised wording was one of the main points.

In March 2005, anti-virus vendors discovered the W32/Crog.worm computer virus (a contraction of Crazy Frog), spreading via the File***Hanging Network and MSNMessenger, utilizing Crazy Frog's infamous Promise animation depicting his demise.

Musical history

Mad Frogs introduced Mad Hits as "Axel F" (a remix of the eighties Harold Faltermeyer song), which was released on May 23, 2005, and became one of the most successful singles of 2005. "Axel F" category debuted at number one at the box office in the United Kingdom, with the rest having four weeks. The song then towed the charts for the rap 2Pac's single 'Jewish Gospel'. Similar success occurred in Australia and many parts of Europe, and the song stayed on the charts for many months in various countries and territories. However, the song apparently did not catch on as well in the U.S. and Japan, and he was reprises served as the quest for Crazy Frog in all subsequent films. Popcorn (a not afraid of hot butter Song) was released and premiered on August 22, Dance Cheerleaders performance on top of the POPs. It also reached the top 20 in Australia and most of Europe, in many cases while the "Axel F" category remained on the charts.

The popularity of horseback riding was popularized by these preliminary single press releases, an album presentation entitled Crazy Frog Crazy Access was released on July 25th. It contained some Froggy remixes of existing songs such as "Pump Up the Jam" and the Pink Panther theme, as well as some original tracks such as "In the 80s" and "Dirty Frogs". Reaching the UK, No. 8 in Australia and Breaking Charts in New Zealand. Surprisingly, the album fared much better outside of the U.S. with a single in the "Axel F" category

Special Christmas Edition Frenzy accessed numerous holiday-themed bonus tracks that were released in November, after doubling up on the single with the release of "Christmas Bells/You Can't Touch This! ". The highest single #4 was in Australia and the UK.

In May 2006 Froggy Madness contributed two tracks to a UK compilation album released entitled Soccer Madness to coincide with the 2006 World Cup - "Ole Peter Ole Peter Ole Peter (Whether or Not Froggy Wave)" and "N/A N/A Sodium, Hey Hi! ". The second album entitled Crazy Frog introduced more Crazy Access was released in June 2006, continuing in the musical vein of the first released version with Froggy songs such as "I'll Survive", "Ice Ice ___ Baby" and "I'm Too Sexy". "I'm Too Sexy". The second single release, "We Are the Champions (Ding Dong)," again became a World Cup-oriented track perhaps drawing on earlier soccer-crazed songs.

One yet-to-be-released source is the unconfirmed song "Last Christmas"

Unofficial release

On February 17, 2005, a group of producers named themselves Pondlife released an unofficial single feature of Crazy Frog Sound titled "Ring Ding Dysprosium Hmmm". This release was supported by DJs Wes Batters, Trevor Jordan and Darrell Denham along with studio owner Maurice Cheetham.

On March 19, 2005, an open audition was held for Pondlife to find out where Life's Action Crazy Frog appeared in their accompanying music video. "Ring Ding Dong" was released on June 6, 2005, reaching #11 on the UK Singles Chart, two weeks after Axel F's version had been specified.

The anti-Crazy Frog single titled "Kill the Frog" by Frogs Must Die was released on June 20 in the UK. Since Song hasn't appeared above the top 250 of the UK singles charts, but it's unclear whether the single was delayed, or simply didn't sell enough copies. As the name explains, this CD is the crazy frog that killed.

On June 27, 2005, the dancehall reggae song organizing committee sampled Crazy Frog's soundtrack titled "Ring Ding (Frog)" released in the UK. It reached #58 on the UK pop charts, as well as the high reggae charts.

Other incarnations

On July 1, 2005, U.K.-based publisher Digital Jesters announced that they had obtained a license for the video game Crazy Frog. Crazy Frog Racing (featuring Annoying Stuff), published in December 2005, is a racing game.

Mitsuoka Orochi is a version of Crazy Frog that was designated as a vehicle for the line of vehicles, and it bears a striking resemblance to Frog.

A spate of Crazy Frog merchandise was released in the United Kingdom, under the name "The Annoying Thing", because of copyright and licensing restrictions. These items were chosen by the US firm for Christmas 2005, especially the Annoying Thing Singing Plush which plays with the jingle bells when squeezed. Other products include video games, desktop noders, keychains, backpacks, lunch boxes and air fresheners. However, there are also bootleg versions of the Mad Frog plush. The only difference that can be seen is the goggles; the knockoffs have very large cotton goggles, while the originals have small, rounded-up open goggles. Crazy Frog also has a "Whac to the Mole" style Arcade game, in which you tap whacking "annoying things" and lose the tap whacking red robot things.

The German company that produces the Good People's Alliance is working with a radio and television program about Crazy Frog based on Crazy Frog, and video clips of Crazy Frog can be seen. A second version of the Crazy Frog game is now available on PlayStation 2 and PC and is called 'Crazy Frog Racing 2.' However, this was very negatively criticized.

Mad Frog's tour of Australia began at the end of 2005, began on December 4 in Perth and continued through other major capital cities. He appeared in numerous shopping malls and major hospitals across the country.
