Yip Wing-Tim is in the trading industry and is a classmate and lifelong friend of Tsui Man-Biu and Ma Chi-Keung. Xu Wenbiao and Ye Rongtian join the organizing committee for the construction of a new building for their alma mater, and Wenbiao, as the architect, is responsible for the design drawings. Rongtian's trading company designs an "electronic pet machine" and wants to make a splash at a trade fair, but his employee, Ah Xiang, embezzles public funds and incurs a huge debt. In order to solve the problem, he cheats the organizing committee of 360,000 yuan. Zhiqiang, who works in a bank, finds out and hides it for Rongtian, but Wenbiao finds out and goes to settle the score with Rongtian. The police found out that the mastermind of the water and electricity disconnection is Rongtian, and Wenbiao went to see Hsiaoqin when he realized that Rongtian is doing more and more harm to himself. Wing Tim persuades the foreman to resume work and persuades Mrs. Hsuan to give up half of her ownership rights to set up a construction company. When Zhiwei's company opens, Xixian discovers that Yingxin speaks fluent French and invites her to work in a law firm. When Man Piu's environmental protection design is criticized, Yip asked Peter, an assistant of his eldest son Rong Jin, to work with Man Piu to revise the plan. The air-conditioner of a construction site is stolen by a gangster. Rongtian and Yingxin work together to subdue the gangster Siu Mau and take back the air-conditioner. However, Xiao Mao turns against him and Rongtian escapes with injuries. Xixian and her friend Peggy Ho meet Yingxin at a bar for a chat and the three of them have a good time. Zhi Wei and Wen Biao are still worried about whether Rong Heng's meeting will go well, and seem to be distracted. At night, it is pouring with rain. When Zhiwei calls to say hello, Man Bill is heartened. The sales of village houses are very well received, attracting a large number of reporters to interview them.

Rongtian asks Yingxin to go to Macau for a break and warns Yingxin that she has to accept him if she likes him. YEH Hsiao-Li asks Rong-Heng why the newspaper reports that he is going to marry celebrity Elaine. Rong-Heng says it is just a show and decides to break up with her. Elaine is obsessed with Rong Heung and accuses Zhi Wei of interfering and slaps her. Man Bill is stunned at the sight. After listening to Fok King Leung's advice, Wing Tim is relieved about Man Bill's departure. Ying Xin reiterates to Rong Tim that she does not mind coming second. Rong Tim asserts that he is not worthy of such a commitment from her and Ying Xin dies. Bao'er is saddened by Huo Jingliang's further sex news. Rongtian comforts her by saying that Bao'er has a place in Huo Jingliang's heart.

The scene of Huo King Leung shouting at Rong Tim is seen by the three brothers, Rong Jin, Rong Yi and Rong Heng, and Rong Jin takes the opportunity to taunt them. Rong Tim decides to send Ah Man to the US to study interior design, which makes Ah Man resentful. Bao'er bumps into Fong Kin Ping and Hei Yin at the bank. She feels guilty and leaves, but Fong Kin Ping feels sorry for her. FONG Kin-ping puts out the "Heart of the Ocean" ruby necklace for charity auction, and FOK King-leung wins it at a high price, which makes Bao-er feel even more disappointed. Peggy asks Hei Yin to take up a case of a patient's family suing the hospital for medical malpractice. Hei Yin is depressed, but Wing Tim encourages her to take up the case. Fok King Leung instructs Wing Tim to use the opportunity to coax Man Biu to collect the money and provide information on the government's plan. Wing Tim has no choice but to comply, but Man Biu categorically refuses. Man Bill finds out that Uncle Kin, who is also his mentor and friend, is taking bribes; he is distressed. Rong Heng realizes that he is in love with Zhi Wei and hints to her, but Zhi Wei politely refuses and realizes that he is still in love with Man Bill.
Episode 13
Wen Biao fails to get the money from his elder brother Xu Wenkun; Wen Biao has no choice but to borrow from him. When Fong sprains her hand, Ying-yan accompanies her to the doctor and buys her some more clothes; Man-biu is grateful. RONG TIM lures HUI MAN KWAN to buy a mansion with an internal subscription, but MAN PIU cannot get the $200,000 from HUI MAN KWAN, so MAN PIU has to sell his dream house. When YINGXIN loses her brooch, WENBIU searches for her all night long and takes the opportunity to show his love to her, but YINGXIN refuses. When Man Bill receives the phone call, he urges the buyer to increase the deposit, but the buyer backs out and Rong Tim takes the opportunity to hand over the cheque to her. Rongtian is both disappointed and comforted when he learns that Man Bill has not cashed the check. Zhiwei learns from Rongtian that Man Biao is in trouble and gives him a cheque to solve the problem. Man Bill is happy to go to the airport, but on the way, he meets a robber, who is stabbed by Man Bill.
Episode 14
When Man Bill arrives at the airport in Taiwan, he is taken to see his father. Man Bill pays the money to save Sister Fong and learns that Zi Li owes more than that, Sister Fong insists on going to Tainan to look for Zi Li, so Man Bill has no choice but to return to Hong Kong. Wen Biao knows that the robber is dead; he is in a state of panic and has nightmares. When Man Bill's car is hit, the other party complains to him first, and Man Bill injures the other party. Zhi Wei argues with Man Bill and continues to work. After the dance, Rong Heng confesses his love to Zhi Wei again and they can't help having sex. Hei Yin says that Man Bill will be criminally prosecuted for injuring a man, and Wing Tim secretly pays off the injured man. Zhi Qiang is sacked by the bank after he helped Pang Weng's mistress to get a bank loan for Rong Tim. Fok King Leung forces Rong Tim to negotiate for cooperation again. Rong Tim is reluctant to do so, but Hsu Man Kwan asks for help. When Rong Tim sees Man Bill laughing and joking with Fok King Leung, and accepting his bribe, he feels different and sighs. Later, Rongtian realizes that Man Bill still owes money to his father and reminds him that there is no turning back once he is in the game. Ying Xin realizes that Wen Biao's dream house has been decorated to her liking and feels Wen Biao's love.
Episode 16
Wen Biao pays off his debt and persuades Fang to stop working, offering to pay for her business. Rongtian feels guilty about Zhiqiang's firing and tells him to go back to the company to take care of the accounting affairs, to which Zhiqiang agrees. Wen Biao does not know how to please Huo Jingliang, which makes Huo Jingliang dissatisfied. Rong Tim relieves him and teaches him to make good relationships in the company, so that he can ask for information in the future. Wen Biao shows his love to Ying Xin again and says he will treasure her, Ying Xin is touched. In order to get close to Zhi Wei, Rong Heng wants to work in a PR company, but Zhi Wei has no choice. Zhi Wei appreciates Man Bill's change of heart and hints that he may get back together, but she is disappointed that Man Bill does not show any reaction. Zhi Qiang discovers that Man Biu is dating Ying Xin and is happy for them. Wing Heng learns that Zhiwei still misses Man Bill, and is shocked to hear Zhiwei say that she doesn't care about their one night stand. Later, Rong Heng encounters Wen Biao at a club, and when he sees him flattering Huo Jingliang, he can't help but sarcastically say that he is like a dog, and Wen Biao beats Rong Heng angrily. Rong Jin orders someone to beat up Man Biao on behalf of Rong Heng. Man Biao is sent to the hospital and Ying Xin rushes to the hospital, but Rong Tim sees them embracing each other and his heart sinks. Zhi Wei thinks that Wen Biao's murder is attributed to Rong Heng and blames him for not separating public and private affairs, so she resolutely resigns. RONG HENG goes home and is scolded by YEH Hau-li for his lack of seriousness. Ya Wen confesses that she is afraid of being alone in a foreign country and sees Zhiqiang comforting her with his love. Fok King Leung tells Rong Tim and Man Biu not to hit on the MTR's property. The two of them hold back for the time being. When Ah Man is molested by a pervert, Chi Keung is furious and chases after her, but Ah Man happily kisses him. Rong Tim advises Man Bill not to eat in the same family so as not to anger Fok King Leung, but Man Bill is not convinced. The next day, Man Bill is persuaded by his boss to leave his job. He is then kicked out by Chun King Leung, who misunderstands that Rong Tim betrayed him. When Rongtian hits her, she is angry with Zhiqiang, who is the only one she knows who is in love. Rong Tim receives a phone call from Rong Ze, who finds out that Ah Man has been raped by a sex maniac. When Rongtian was on his knees, he begged her to jump off the building.
Episode 19
Man Biu complains to Ying Xin about his dismissal and being toyed with, and Ying Xin encourages him to start afresh. Henry Rong uses the sincerity of his colleagues to persuade Zhiwei to give up her resignation. Rong Tim is afraid of Xixian's true feelings. He says that he was confused that night, and Xixian feels heartbroken. Fok King Leung asks Hui Man Kwan to buy "Kee On" shares; he tries to find out whether Man Bill is reliable. On the day of Man Bill's wedding, Patrick, an old colleague, blackmails Man Bill to raise one million dollars to pay back the loan sharks, or else he will report to Fok King Leung. Rong Tim agrees to raise the money, but does not see Patrick, and realizes that he has already been killed by the loan sharks. Tokyo" indeed became the contractor of the Kowloon project, and the price rises wildly, Fok King Leung is furious; Rong Tim and Man Bill are overjoyed. Wing Tim and Man Bill are overjoyed. Wing Tim and Man Bill each get a share of $10 million and buy their own mansions, while Man Bill decides to transform Ying Yan into a rich wife. When Wing Tim moves into his new house, Fok King Leung sends him a huge sculpture as a congratulatory gift, which makes Wing Tim angry. Rongtian and Manbiao decide to buy a shell company and list it on the stock market, then resell it to make quick money. When Rongtian goes home, he feels lonely and asks Xixian to spend a cozy day with him.
