Qin'an County is located in the southeastern part of Gansu Province, the northern part of Tianshui City, the lower reaches of the Hulu River, a tributary of the Wei River. It is one of the 18 arid counties in the province, and also one of the key counties for poverty alleviation and development work. The county is about 65 kilometers long from east to west and 50 kilometers wide from north to south, with the terrain high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The largest river, Hulu River, is formed by four major tributaries, namely, Qingshui River, South Xiaohe River, Xianqing River and West Xiaohe River, and runs through the middle of Qin'an from the north to the south. Located in the central part of Qin'an County, 10 kilometers north of the county seat.
