Today everyone takes the High-speed trains or planes arrive in Guilin from various places.
We will arrange a driver to take you to your hotel in advance.
The hotel we chose is Guilin Hotel. Located in the city center of Guilin. Close to the pedestrian street and Rong Lake. If you arrive early, you can walk to Elephant Trunk Hill by yourself and have a bowl of local rice noodles on the pedestrian street near the hotel in the evening.
The beautiful scenery of two rivers and four lakes is around you. The two rivers refer to Li River and Taohua River, and the four lakes refer to Mulong Lake (including Iron Buddha Pond), Gui Lake, Rong Lake and Shan Lake. Two rivers and four lakes form an important part of Guilin’s beautiful scenery. It's very beautiful when the lights are on at night!
Guilin-Longji
The guide will be waiting for you at the hotel in the morning, so you don’t need to leave too early with your children. After a 2 and a half hour drive, we arrived at the Longji Rice Terraces. There are many villages in Longji Rice Terraces, and the one we recommend is Ping’an Village. There are few people here, there are no large tourist groups, foreign guests all choose here, and the terraces are also very beautiful.
Climb the mountain for 45 minutes to reach Pingan Village. The village is very well preserved, and we can have lunch (at our own expense) at the Pingan Inn where we are staying, with local flavor. After lunch break, we started exploring and hiking the rice terraces. Ping'an Village is quieter at night. Drink tea and chat with fellow villagers.

Longji-Yangshuo
After breakfast, We left Longji and headed to Yangshuo.
If Guilin’s landscape is the best in the world, then the most beautiful place in Guilin is in Yangshuo. It takes about 3 and a half hours to drive from Longji to Yangshuo. In the middle, we will take you to a rice noodle shop where Guilin locals eat (at your own expense: about 10-20 RMB per person). It is a small shop and the taste is really authentic.
Arrive in Yangshuo in the afternoon.
The busiest place in Yangshuo is West Street, where people come and go every night. It is filled with various souvenir shops and discotheques. We don't want to live here with our kids, it's too noisy here. We recommend staying at Yuewu Resort Hotel in Yangshuo Scenic Area, with a Booking score of 9.0. Living here you really feel like you are in a paradise.
The hotel has good family rooms, which are convenient for family activities. We can borrow bicycles from the hotel in the afternoon, and you will see beautiful scenery everywhere along the way. You can ride from the hotel to the Yulong River Bridge, which is the best place to take pictures of the sunset.
Yangshuo-Xingping
Depart for Laozhai Mountain. You can take out 20 yuan and show it to your child and tell him that this is the place we are going to today. Photography groups often go to take pictures of the sunrise early in the morning. It’s too hard for us with our children, so we don’t want to take part in the fun. Note that it is not recommended to go if it rains, as the road is too slippery and can be dangerous. When you reach the top of the mountain, the mountains in the distance and the Li River nearby are right in front of you. It's so beautiful!
Laozhai Mountain is located in Xingping Ancient Town. After climbing the mountain, you can visit the ancient town and have lunch here.
In the afternoon we went to Fuli Ancient Town, where we arranged fan-making experience activities for the children. Welfare Fan Factory is already an old factory, and there are many old fan workers here. We teach the children how to draw a fan and make a fan of their own.
Return to Moon Dance Hotel. You can take a break and let the kids run wild in the swimming pool.
Yangshuo-Return
If you have arranged a flight or train at noon, we will leave early in the morning.
Drop off at the station (aircraft) and end our journey!
