Acting Experience
The play "Broken", which is based on the novel of the same name by Shi Kang, is the first time that the sisters Bao Lei and Bao Li have worked together on the stage, and both of them said that they are now happiest to be able to act together as they are too familiar with and understanding of each other, and know how to cooperate with each other and trust each other, and have a tacit understanding in everything they do.
At the end of April 2005, a pioneering play called "Fragmented" linked the two sisters' careers. The collaboration made the sisters very happy. Even when they didn't have their own parts, the sisters would still show up early at the rehearsal hall to watch each other rehearse, and it felt like they were back on a college campus in the old days.
"I haven't done a play in almost three years. Bowie just did a monologue last year, 'Love is Everywhere,' playing an aphasia patient without a single line.
"Broken" was a real treat for her, with tens of thousands of lines spoken from start to finish. Bao Li rehearsal is particularly serious, she got the script, first read the original novel, do character biography, analyze the character history, she said that after careful study, say lines will be more feeling. And I, career is not strong, everything goes with the flow, she always scolded me for being lazy." Bao Lei talking about her sister, a sense of appreciation.
