One Cut of Plum was first included in Fei Yuqing's album Yangtze River Water - This Love Never Stays, which was released in April 1983, and became the title song of a TV series of the same name in 1984, which later became the title song of the 2009 TV series New One Cut of Plum starring Huo Jianhua and Lv Yi.
