Over the decades, I have written a lot of children's songs, the most unforgettable is to write "Let's Swing Oars" this song.

It was early July 1955, when the director of Changchun Film Studio led all the members of the film crew of "Flowers of the Motherland" and a large group of eleven- and twelve-year-old actors and actresses to the lower part of Wanshoushan Mountain, frolicked in the Summer Palace, and rowed on Kunming Lake, so as to let the children familiarize themselves with the environment in which they would be filmed, the feeling of being on the water, and the techniques and movements of rowing... ...I'm the author of this movie episode and came along with them.

I, for one, have been afraid of water since I was a kid. The kids got into the boat, but I stood at the edge of the lake and had a hard time. At this time, the children enthusiastically shouted at me: "Liu Chih uncle, hurry up ah, open boat!" So I got into the boat. At first, I could only sit honestly, both hands grasping the side of the boat, do not dare to move. The children played really happy, playful, joyful, rowing, making noise, the lively and lovely demeanor infected me, so that I was fascinated, no longer afraid of water.
