Yangqiao Temple Fair will be held on March 14th. In order to better inheritance and development of Yangqiao temple fair in the "tuning stubborn cow", "twisting paper" and other non-legacy projects, this Yangqiao temple fair for the audience to add a lot of interactive program links. Thirty-six lines of "tuning thirty-six lines" will be displayed on the stage one by one, allowing the audience to have a quiz on their own careers. The "paper rubbing" inheritor will teach "paper rubbing" at the temple fair site; in the "stubborn cow tune", there will be a big cow with a small cow double cow performance, and the "small stubborn cow" will be a big cow with a small cow performance. The "little bull" will be played by the original yellow town cloud village experimental school students.
The highlights of the morning's activities will be the "Red Song Flash Mob" and "Emperor Qianlong Comes to Yangqiao":
The "Red Song Flash Mob" will begin at 8 a.m., with performances taking place on Yangqiao's Old Street.
"Emperor Qianlong Comes to Yangqiao" will start at 9:30am. The route of the performance will be to get on a boat from Nanyangqiao Pier, cross the Old Canal, disembark at Taipingqiao Pier, and then walk from Taipingbang to Taipingan.
The afternoon's activities will mainly consist of attendance ceremonies, non-heritage demonstrations and cultural performances:
The ceremonies will depart from Taipingan at 1:30pm. The parade will pass through Dujia Tang, Niupi Village, Shaojia Village, Wandu Village, Yujia Bridge, Tangjia Tang, Huajia Tang, Jiazhu Ancestral Hall, Farmer's Market, Zhuangji Village, South Gate of Yangqiao, South Yangqiao, Guandi Temple, and finally return to Taiping Temple. The whole cruise will last about 3.5 hours.
The non-legacy demonstrations and cultural performances will start at 2 p.m. on the stage of Taiping Square.
How to get there
Three routes to choose from
Based on the experience of previous editions, the peak traffic hours for the Yangqiao Temple Fair are from 9am to 12pm. To ensure orderly traffic around the temple fair tomorrow, traffic control will be implemented on some congested roads. Citizens can enter the Yangqiao ancient village through the following three routes:
1. Changwu Road (South gas station) - Nanzha line (the left side of the pagoda) - Tianyi Road (the first intersection after the railroad tunnel to the right) - the old street south gate (parking spot)
2. Changwu Road - Yunxi Road - the former Nanyang Thermal Power Company (parking spot)
3. Nanhuan Road - Fanzhuang Bridge - Wandu Village - the former Nanyang Thermoelectric Company (parking spot)
Warm Tips
Since Yangqiao Ancient Village is not yet commercialized, there is only one kind of food service in the ancient village, "Nanyang Banquet".
There are 5 public toilets around Yangqiao***, which are located in the old street Taipingan, the south side of Nan Yangqiao, Zhujiachang, Yangqiao Village Committee, and Yangqiao Farmer's Market.
