Mother in the Candlelight was originally sung by Duan Pinzhang.
Duan Pinzhang, known as "Teresa Teng", was born in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, but her singing career began in Dalian, where she joined the Dalian Song and Dance Troupe in 1982 as a soloist.
She is known for her works such as Mother in the Candlelight, River of Clouds, Alone on the West Tower, Little Girl Catching the Sea, and Seeing the Smoke Again.
Character Experience:
In 1989, she went to Singapore to take part in the Spring Festival large-scale cultural gala "Spring to the River to Welcome the New Year", where she gathered with singers from all over the world; she also recorded her solo album for the Far East Music Group in Singapore.
In 1990, she participated in the "Your Favorite Singers and Songs" contest voted by the audience and won the honorable title of China's Top Ten Singers.
Recently, she recorded three theme songs for the 33-episode TV series "Dancing in the Sky", and became a judge of the "Second Chinese-Japanese Songs Singing TV Competition in Dalian, China", and sang the song "Your Love, My Sky" at the final and award presentation party.
