While the people were celebrating their victory, one of the enemy's bad guys slipped into the basement of the government chamber to wreak havoc. This basement held a lot of gunpowder, which, when sparked, would cause an explosion and kill many people.
This bad guy connected the gunpowder with a fuse and stretched it all the way out into the yard. A little fire and he panicked and slipped away. The fuse was on fire, and it was "sizzling" down into the basement. No one noticed the dangerous sparks, and a huge disaster was about to strike!
At this critical juncture, a boy named Yu Lian came to play in the yard. He found the sparking fuse by the corner of the wall, which was getting shorter and shorter inch by inch. He knew there was gunpowder in the basement and had learned in the war what it was like to have a fuse shorten in the light of a fire. He wanted to go and put it out with water, but there was no water here, and it was too late to fetch water from far away, or to run out and call for an adult, I'm afraid. Suddenly, he came up with a good idea: he ran to the corner of the wall and peed on the fuse. The urine put out the fire!
A catastrophe was averted, and the people of Brussels cheered the little peeing hero high above their heads!
In times of crisis, it is important to keep a cool head, so that your wisdom can play a role in order to be able to think of wonderful ways to avoid disasters, like this little hero of the withdrawal of urine.
