A famous assassin in history

First, the best photogenic assassin: Jing Ke

"Wind, rain, water and cold, the strong man is gone forever." Jing Ke is undoubtedly the most famous assassin in history, praised by people from generation to generation, known to all women and children, and even two famous directors in modern times have not let go of this theme. Commenting that Jing Ke is the most photogenic assassin can be said to be worthy of the name and is the voice of everyone.

Second, the best creative assassin: Zhu Yingtai

Zhuan Xu, a native of the State of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period, was hired by Guang, the son of the State of Wu (later the King of Wu and Lu) to assassinate the enemy.

On the day of the incident, my son entertained Liao Wang and secretly ambushed Jia Bing indoors. Liao Wang also took preventive measures, ordered people to line up along the way and deployed cronies around the steps of doors and windows. The guards standing in the middle of the road are all holding long beryllium. When the wine was hot, the son pretended to be ill with his feet and retreated to the back room. At that time, Zhuan appeared! He gave full play to his imagination and subjective initiative, creatively hid the dagger in the fish's stomach and pretended to provide food for Liao Wang. When you get to Liao Wang, it will be too late to say this! Zhuan suddenly tore open the fish's stomach, took out a dagger and stabbed Liao Wang! Liao Wang died instantly. Unfortunately, Zhuan Xu was killed by the guards at once. Childe light while the other leaderless, quick life ambush army attacked Liao Wang's attendants, the generals. In memory of Zhuan Xu, He Lv, the king of Wu, named Zhuan Xu's son Shangqing.

Third, the best tragic assassin: leave

After He Lv became king of Wu, his son Qing Ji fled to Wei. Qing Ji is a very good man. He has great courage and is called the first warrior of Wu. Now Guo Wei is recruiting soldiers, waiting for the opportunity to avenge his father. After he Lu learned about this, he thought about getting rid of this huge trouble day and night, so he found a strong man. This man's name will leave.

After careful planning, I decided to use risks. One day, he wanted to duel with He Lv in the palace. He deliberately stabbed He Lv's wrist with a bamboo sword, then cut off his right arm with a real sword and went to defend the country to find Qing Ji. After he left, He Lu also killed his wife. After finding out the facts, Qing Ji believed it, regarded him as a confidant, and asked him to train and plot to solve the problem. After March, he went to Wu, where he and Jae-Il Lee were on a warship. One night, the night was charming, so I had to take advantage of Qing Ji's drinking at the bow to stab Qing Ji with one arm in the moonlight, pierce my heart and pierce my back. Qing Ji was very surprised and sighed: "There are such brave people in the world who dare to stab me like this!" At this time, the guards raised their knives and killed them and left. Qing Ji held his hand and said, "This is a warrior's world. How can you kill two soldiers in one day? Let him return to China and fulfill him! "

After leaving for home, he celebrated Lu Tongqing. I want to decline politely and say, "I didn't kill to be an official, but for the peace of Wu, so that the people can live and work in peace." After that, he committed suicide in the golden palace. What a sad and brave man, working hard for the Lord, but letting a family break down!

Fourth, the best shocking assassin: Nie brothers and sisters

Nie Zheng is a butcher, and becoming a knight-errant is a hobby. However, Nie Zheng was born to be an assassin, and after he made his mark, he became famous all over the world, and there was an endless stream of customers who came to contact the business. One day, Korean aristocrat Yan Zhongzi came to him with gold and sincerity, asking him to get rid of South Korean Prime Minister Xia Lei. Nie Zheng politely declined. Yan Zhongzi was unhappy: "Do you play big cards?" Zheng said, "No, because my mother is alive and my sister is unmarried, I can't die." Soon, Nie Zheng's mother passed away, and Yan Zhongzi came to offer condolences and held a parent-child ceremony. Nie Zheng was deeply moved. After the mother was buried, she married her sister in a hurry and followed the neutron to assassinate Xia Lei.

When the hero moves, it's really extraordinary. As a prime minister, Xia Lei had dozens of bodyguards, but he was killed by martial arts from outside the prime minister's house and stabbed to death with a knife. At this time, the guards came around. Seeing that Nie Zheng could not escape, he decided to commit suicide by raising his sword. Before he died, he gouged out his eyes with a long sword and cut his face into a pile of paste. There is only one purpose for the hero to do this: not to let people recognize him, so as not to implicate his dear evil sister!

In order to know who the assassin was, the Korean monarch posted a notice saying that anyone who could recognize the body would be offered a reward of 1200 yuan. When Nie Zheng's sister Nie Rong heard about it, she decided that it was her younger brother, so she threw herself at Nie Zheng's body in despair and burst into tears. The official asked her, aren't you afraid of being implicated? Nie Rong said: "My brother did this to prevent you from recognizing him, so as to save me. But in this way, isn't his reputation buried? Can I let my brave brother die in obscurity to save myself? " After that, Nie Rong shouted for three days and died beside his brother.

5. Best Performance Assassin: Cao Mo

Lu people are famous for their bravery and good fighting skills. Duke Lu admired him very much and appointed him as a general to fight against Qi. Unexpectedly, all three wars were defeated, and Lu was afraid of public hazards, so he quickly negotiated for peace. But I don't blame Cao Mo, I still regard him as a general.

Promised to form an alliance with Lu in Kedi. Just as Duke Zhuang of Lu and Duke Huan were preparing to reach a humiliating agreement, Cao Mo rushed over with a dagger in his hand and hijacked Qi Huangong. Huan Gong was afraid of hurting his master and didn't dare to do anything. Duke Huan asked, "What do you want?" Cao Mo said, "Your bullying has gone too far. What do you think we should do, your majesty? " Duke Huan was forced to promise to return all the land occupied by Lu. After being promised, Cao Mo put down his dagger and stood among the ministers again, his face unchanged and his words remained the same. Huan Gong became angry from embarrassment and wanted to break his word. He was stopped by Guan Zhong. As a result, all the land lost by Cao Mo in the Third World War was returned.

With loyal courage and immortal tongue, Cao Mo not only regained the land, but also saved his life, which is remarkable.

Sixth, the best strategic assassin: Hou Ying, Zhu Hai

Hou Ying was a Wei native during the Warring States Period. Originally a security guard guarding the city gate, he was not regarded as a guest of honor by Xinlingjun until he was seventy years old. Zhu Hai, a pig-killing specialist, is a strange man, hiding in the street. These two men played a key role in helping Xin save Zhao.

Here's the thing. In 257 BC, the king of Qin sent troops to besiege Zhao, and Zhao was in danger. So he sent someone to find Wei, and Wei sent a hundred thousand troops to meet him. When the king of Qin learned the news, he began to threaten Wang Wei. Wang Wei was afraid, and Jinbi, in a hurry, stopped moving. New Ling Jun knew that his lips were dead and his teeth were cold. He urged Wang Wei to send troops to save Zhao several times, but Wang Wei just stayed put. Xin didn't want to do nothing, so she raised a car and a horse and took her apprentice to help Zhao. When passing through the gate, Hou Ying stopped him and said to him, Son, don't act rashly. I have a clever plan. Xinlingjun stole the drum from Wang Wei's favorite as planned, and took Zhu Hai to Jinbi to seize the military power. Comrade Zhu Hai killed Jinbi with a hammer on the spot. So Xin successfully seized the military power, commanded the army to save Zhao, and finally repelled and saved Zhao. The whole planning is interlocking, meticulous and orderly, which is an excellent planning case.

Seven, the best special assassin: Yu Rang

Yu Rang, a native of the State of Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period, failed. After taking refuge in Zhi Bo, he was taken seriously. Later, Zhi Bo was killed by his enemy Zhao Xiangzi, and Zhao Xiangzi used his skull as a wine glass. I let Zuo be angry, "a scholar dies for a bosom friend." Yurang decided to take revenge.

First, he changed his name and surname, disguised himself as a criminal, sneaked into the court, and attempted to assassinate Zhao Xiangzi with a dagger by renovating the toilet. The result was unsuccessful. Zhao Xiangzi thinks that Yu Jean is an upright man who is willing to avenge his dead Lord and set him free.

Jade still won't give up. He will take revenge by disguising himself by painting and swallowing coal. The opportunity came, and Yu rang ambushed under a bridge in advance, ready to assassinate when Zhao Xiangzi passed by. Zhao Xiangzi's horse suddenly jumped up, which made Yu Rang's plan fail again. Knowing that it was meant to be, Yurang begged Zhao Xiangzi: "I hope you can let me fulfill my last wish: take off your clothes and let me put them on, so that even if I die, there will be no regrets. Zhao Xiangzi promised him, and Yu rang drew his sword, stabbed Zhao Xiangzi three times on his clothes, and then committed suicide.

Obviously, Yu Rang is not good at business, but he is definitely a dedicated assassin. He reminds me of a famous saying of Grandpa Mao: The world is afraid of being serious!

Eight, the most dereliction of duty assassin-Zhao Dun.

Flesh, Jin people in the Spring and Autumn Period, (? -607 years ago)

Some people think that the wren is not an assassin because he didn't assassinate him at all. In today's words, the crime is over. But the historical identity of the wren is indeed an assassin. Personally, I think the wren is more righteous. Because he voluntarily gave up the assassination, he didn't become famous, but there are wonderful records in Zuo Zhuan.

Jin Linggong, the monarch of the State of Jin at that time, was dissolute and tyrannical, generous to the people and vigorously promoted civil construction. People in Jin Dynasty are boiling with resentment. Zhao Dun, the prime minister, repeatedly urged Gong Ling to make corrections, but Gong Ling didn't listen at all, instead, he was disgusted.

607 years ago, Gong Ling's favorite doctor Tu'an Gu offered a plan to harm Zhao Dun, saying, "I have a guest whose family is poor, and I often help them. I feel the benefits of the minister and am willing to work hard, so I can assassinate the country! "

That night, Gong Ling and Tu'an Gu secretly summoned the shrew, gave them wine and food, and told them, "Zhao Dun has the absolute right to bully the Lord, and now he will stab you. Don't delay. "

After receiving the order, the shrew lurked around the Zhao government. On the fifth watch, I saw the heavy door opened and flies entered the middle door. I saw the lights and shadows in the hall. Zhao Dun is wearing a crown, gentlemen are in the water, but he is sitting in the court in the hall. Frightened, the wren stepped back from the door and sighed, "You are so respectful and loyal! It is unfair to assassinate loyal ministers; It is unbelief to abandon it under your orders. If you don't believe in injustice, why do you stand between heaven and earth? " But he called to the door and said, "Ye Ye, I would rather disobey your orders than kill a loyal minister. I'm going to kill myself today! I'm afraid there will be latecomers, so the Prime Minister should be on his guard! " After saying this, he touched a big tree in front of the door, his brains burst and he died. The gatekeeper was alarmed, and Zhao Dun was informed. Zhao Dun sighed unceasingly and ordered the shrew to be buried shallow beside the locust tree for temporary maintenance.

Assassins in European history

Speaking of assassins, we will probably think of a guy who covers his face with black cloth, has sharp and secretive eyes, but always sneaks around. In fact, some people in history are full of reverence for assassins. Sima Qian is one of them. He devoted himself to biographies of assassins, so the heroic deeds of The Four Assassins in the Warring States Period became earth-shattering and made the gods cry. Among them, Jing Ke stabbed Qin Huang, and now it has been put on the screen, and it is a movie and TV series. Really hot.

The most famous assassination in western history was Caesar's death, and his prediction of "sudden death" added some mystery to his assassination.

As for the value judgment of assassination, I think it is necessary to analyze the specific behavior, because the motives of assassination vary widely, some for money, some for political or religious ideals, and some just want to do something earth-shattering to satisfy their vanity. Recently, I was deeply shocked by the assassination in modern European history. Whatever the purpose, these events have had a great impact on the historical process. Here are some of the most influential and meaningful ones for discussion.

The dirtiest assassination: the elegy of the Dutch founding father

1568' s movement to destroy icons opened the curtain for the Netherlands to fight against Spanish rule and strive for independence. In this movement, Willem Oranje (Prince Orange), the biggest aristocrat in the Netherlands at that time, played an important role. As far as class feelings are concerned, he received great kindness from Carlos, the former king of Spain. As far as national feelings are concerned, the cries and blood of the Dutch people around him made him sleepless. Once wavering, he finally stood with the Dutch people and embarked on the road of no return against the most powerful empire at that time-the Spanish Empire.

Since then, he has become a thorn in the side of King Philip II of Spain and a thorn in the flesh, and has become the most wanted criminal in the country. Philip II offered a large reward for his head.

After years of bloody fighting, the Dutch Independent Army led by Prince Orange has gained a firm foothold in northern Holland. Dutch provinces are ready to make him king in July 1584. But two days before this big day, tragedy happened.

On July 10, Prince Orange was having lunch with the mayor of Louvain, and the bodyguard came forward to report: "balthasar has completed all the formalities such as passport, and I have come to pick up some letters written by the prince to the French minister."

Balthasar is a Frenchman. His job is to deliver news to France for the prince. He has been working for the prince.

When Prince Orange came down the stairs, balthasar, who had been hiding behind a pillar beside the stairs, suddenly swooped down on the prince, raised his pistol and fired three shots. The gun hit the prince's main injury, and a generation of great men fell down and never got up again.

The assassin left in a hurry, but just stepped on a pile of shit at the door and slipped to the ground, and was captured alive on the spot. He confessed that he was a spy sent by Philip II, and the purpose of killing the prince was only to get Philip II's huge reward and title. Finally, he was beheaded under the torture of a soldering iron and a knife.

The descendants of Prince Orange inherited his dominant position in the Netherlands, and finally won Dutch independence and became the royal family in the Dutch era.

The most unexpected assassination: the whole of France is crying.

16th century is a difficult period for France to transition to a mature modern nation-state. Just after the reunification and centralization of the country, it has fallen into a complex dispute between Catholicism and Protestantism. Among the religious conflicts in Europe at that time, the most complicated situation was France, because Catholicism and Protestantism were evenly matched. Since 1572 "Nights of Terror in Saint bartholomew", France has been plunged into a long-term civil war and riots. Then he assassinated two kings in succession. Among them, Henry III was assassinated by a Catholic fanatic because he betrayed his Catholic camp and turned to sympathize with and even help Protestantism, while Henry IV (1589- 1665438).

Henry IV was originally the king of Navarra, a small border state in the south of France, and was a Protestant. Because Henry III died childless, Henry IV, a distant relative of the latter, succeeded to the throne. At that time, France was in the religious war | "Huguenot War", and Henry IV personally went into battle to kill the enemy, showing his outstanding military talent. But what really shows Henry IV's great personality is 1593. In view of the majority of French Catholics, Henry IV resolutely announced his conversion to Catholicism, and then announced the Nantes Act in 1598, declaring Catholicism as the state religion of France, while recognizing the freedom of belief and the due status of Protestantism. The Nantes Act is the earliest masterpiece of religious tolerance in the West, which finally brought peace to France. Since then, Henry IV has devoted himself to developing production and restoring the economy, with fruitful results.

16 10 One day, Henry IV passed a narrow street on his way to visit Suri, the minister. The two cars in front collided and blocked the traffic, and the right wheel of the king's car got stuck in the ditch. At this time, the king's car just stopped in front of a shop. An arrow was painted on the signboard of the shop and pierced a heart with a crown. A madman named Ravela followed, perhaps inspired by it. The bicycle suddenly stabbed the king, and the king shouted "I was stabbed"! Ravela stabbed for the second time and was caught red-handed. He didn't want to run away.

It is said that Lavila is a madman, and he has a strong desire to assassinate the king all the time. People even named the disease regicide.

Later, when Queen Anna (daughter-in-law of Henry IV) assisted underage Louis XIV, she told him to learn from your grandfather (Henry IV), not your father (Louis XIII). When Louis XIV asked why, Anna said that when Henry IV died, everyone cried, while when Louis XIII died, everyone laughed. Yes, there are many famous kings in French history, such as Charlemagne, Louis XIV and Napoleon, but Henry IV is the only one whose career and personality are beyond reproach.

The most romantic assassination: the black hand at the masquerade ball

Today's Sweden is no different from Xanadu in the eyes of outsiders, and is famous for its high income, high welfare and Gao Wenming. But, do you know, there was an era of corruption and chaos in Swedish history, which was in the middle of18th century. After Sweden suffered heavy losses in the Northern War, the nobles seized the opportunity to seize power and entered the so-called "free era".

1772, Gustav III (1771792), who had been under the aristocratic rule for many years, took advantage of the contradictions within the aristocratic class and the dissatisfaction of monks, citizens and civilians with the nobility, launched a bloodless coup, dissolved the State Council and restored the monarchy. From this perspective, he is also a generation of heroes.

However, after he seized power, he not only failed to solve the domestic financial crisis, but ventured to provoke a war with Russia, resulting in heavy losses and a large number of domestic officers mutinied. His life is also very luxurious. He was obsessed with drama and was called a "genius actor" by later generations.

This is a supplement to the masquerade ball. Masquerade ball is a very popular entertainment activity in European courts, that is, wearing a mask at the ball and dressing up as a fairy, ghost and so on. , is conducive to free participation in the ball.

On June 6th, Gustav III will go to the evening masquerade. He was tipped off that despite reliable information, someone would kill him at night. Gustav laughed it off, because he had heard similar rumors dozens of times, and they were all groundless. At the climax of the dance that night, a man suddenly shot at the king from behind. The ball suddenly screamed and became a mess. The murderer took advantage of the chaos to escape, but was caught not far away.

The murderer was a bodyguard captain named Anstrom, and the background was General Pisalin of big noble at that time. Gustav's policy of restraining the aristocratic class made many aristocrats hate him. Coupled with his dissatisfaction with his economic and foreign policies, a group was formed around him to get rid of him.

13 days later, Gustav died after being sent to the hospital, leaving two words before his death: "French jacobins killed him, please forgive his murderer." However, after being shackled, the murderer was whipped for three days, finally beheaded and dismembered and thrown into the sea.

The most tragic assassination: the bloody case of the Spanish king's wedding

1808 Napoleon invaded Spain, which aroused the passion of the Spanish people. Spain changed from a dead corner in18th century to a country with the most revolutions in Europe in19th century. Ferdinand VII relied on the people to restore the country, but eventually betrayed and suppressed the despicable behavior of the people, making the Spanish royal family once a target of public criticism. During the period of his daughter Isabel Ii, the rebellion reached its peak. During her administration, the government reorganized 465,438+0 times and promulgated seven constitutions. Various political forces launched the 15 riot, and she herself suffered two assassination attempts. 1868, she was forced into exile in a coup.

Later, Isabel Ii's son Alfonso XII returned to China for restoration, and the situation in Spain was calm for some time until his son Alfonso XIII (1886- 193 1 was in office).

When Alfonso XIII was a fetus, his father died of illness. He became a king at birth (there are only two such cases in European history), and when he grew up, he became a headstrong and enthusiastic head of state. /kloc-When he was 0/9 years old, a trip to England made him fall in love with Victoria Eugenia, the granddaughter of Queen Victoria, the "old grandmother of Europe". Two young men of noble birth fell in love at first sight and became lifelong companions. Fearing that Eugenia might carry the pathogenic factor of hemophilia, a disease of the British royal family, their engagement was strongly opposed in Spain, but in the end, he persuaded his mother, Queen Christina, who was known as the "virtuous lady".

It is said that Eugenia's godmother Zeng Zeng gave her a pearl necklace, but at the same time told her not to wear it at the wedding, because a gypsy witch predicted a long time ago that if the bride wore this necklace, she would shed as many tears as pearls in the future, but Eugenia regarded it as a fairy tale and wore the mysterious necklace at the wedding.

The wedding was held on May 3rd1. When the parade arrived at the narrow Mayor Street, a bunch of flowers fell from a building, and a bomb was hidden in the flowers, which exploded in front of the royal carriage of the bride and groom. There was smoke and blood everywhere. In this tragedy, 22 people died and more than 70 people were injured, but the king and queen were lucky to escape the flesh and blood. The gypsy witch's prophecy has come true, which is only the beginning of the couple's bad luck. They are about to face the most turbulent era in Spain. ......

The moral assassin is an extreme anarchist. The day before the tragedy, I saw him throwing things upstairs again and again, thinking that he was mentally ill and didn't care. It turned out that he wanted to calculate the exact time when the object landed. Later, he committed suicide when he was about to be arrested.

The coldest assassination: the decline of the Portuguese monarchy

Two years after the Spanish royal family was killed, that is, 1908, another country on the Iberian peninsula, Portugal, was assassinated, which had a greater impact on history.

/kloc-at the end of 0/9, the Portuguese pacifists stood with the frustrated royalists and the * * * Economic Association, seeking to overthrow the rule of the Portuguese royal family.

At that time, King Carlos I of Portugal (1889- 1908 reigned) was a very talented man, but two things made him lose the hearts of the people. First, in 1890, he tried to connect two colonies in Africa-Angola and Mozambique, which was opposed by Britain. Under the threat of British force, he was forced to withdraw his troops and give up connecting the two colonies. The other was 1906, when Franco, a hardline royalist, was appointed Prime Minister. Franco was an unpopular dictator.

1908, King Carlos and his eldest son, Crown Prince Louis Philippe, were shot and killed by two militants in the square in front of the palace (the background of the case has never been thoroughly investigated). His youngest son, Manuel II, was only 18 years old and succeeded to the throne. Since then, the domestic situation has been turbulent. Two years later, the Portuguese bourgeois revolution broke out, and Manuel could not find anyone to work for him, so he had to flee to England.

The rule of the Portuguese royal family, which once produced "conquerors" such as Alfonso and Joao the Great, has come to an end forever, leaving only a series of sighs behind. ......

The saddest assassination: Princess Cece who has never had a fairy tale.

During the period of 1848, the revolutionary thoughts of European countries surged, and the Austrian Empire, which was located in the heart of Europe and complicated with class contradictions and ethnic contradictions, was the hardest hit. In this storm, the young Prince Franz Joseph was pushed to the throne. He didn't expect that he would sit on this throne for 68 years.

10 years later, another storm warning. In the Italian reunification movement and the German reunification movement, Austria, as a representative of conservative forces, was repeatedly hit, and was forced to give up Germany's position and make concessions to the Hungarians at home, transforming Austria's unitary empire into an Austria-Hungary-dual empire.

In the history of Europe, the Austro-Hungarian Empire is doomed to be an unlucky role. It was born under the background of humiliation and finally collapsed in the storm of humiliation. In order to maintain such a huge ethnic group, its ruler, a member of the Habsburg family, became a nationalist of all ethnic groups in China, a liberal of Austria itself and a public enemy of neighboring countries. Almost all members of his royal family have been assassinated, and Franz Joseph himself has been assassinated several times.

But the most famous in this empire is not the longevity emperor, but his wife Elizabeth, Princess Sisi from Bavaria.

Cece's life is full of legends, and her story has been made into a movie, which is popular in Europe and America. /kloc-at the age of 0/5, she replaced her sister and was chosen by the young Austrian emperor. From that day on, her fate was tied to this ancient empire. Cece likes writing poems, riding horses and traveling, but her life has been soaked with tears. From the day her only son Rudolph committed suicide, her heart "has actually gone with him, leaving only an aging body".

1898, Cece went to Geneva. At noon on September 10, she is going to leave by boat. When she took the waiter to the dock, a man named Luccini lying there suddenly pulled out an awl and poked it at her chest. The awl was sharp and thin. Cece got up from the ground and walked to the boat by herself. However, as soon as she got on the boat, she fell down. The maid-in-waiting around quickly untied her skirt and found a small piece of blood on her chest. The captain ordered the ship to turn around and return to the shore. People carried her back to the hotel on a stretcher. In the hotel, the doctor cut off the artery of the Queen's cubital fossa, and the blood stopped spraying. Cece is dead.

Luccini is an Italian anarchist. The purpose of assassination is to become famous, the second is the hatred of anarchism towards the royal family, and the third is the traditional hostility of Italians towards Austria-Hungary.

The most influential assassination: a shot that triggered a world war

Since19th century, Turkey, an old feudal empire, has declined, and at the same time, under the influence of the whole wave of nationalism in Europe, the nationalism in the Balkans is also rising day by day. However, on the one hand, the nation-state in the Balkans has disappeared for hundreds of years, and the division of nationalities and borders is very vague. On the other hand, the big countries around the Balkans are besieged on all sides and regard the Balkans as pork belly that can be slaughtered at will.

This makes the situation in this area very complicated. Since the middle of19th century, it has become the focus of all previous conflicts in Europe, and is known as the "European powder magazine".

The major powers reacted differently to the national liberation movement against Turkey in the Balkans. Russia regards itself as "the protector of Slavic brothers all over the world" and has always incited and supported national movements in this region. Austria, on the other hand, advocates maintaining the status quo, because there are many Slavic nationalities under its rule and it is afraid that the revolution will burn to its own jurisdiction. Countries such as Britain and France move according to their own interests and changes in specific circumstances. By the beginning of the 20th century, it was a foregone conclusion that all ethnic groups in the Balkans had left Turkey. The Austro-Hungarian Empire changed its conservative attitude and actively extended a helping hand to this region.

19 12 and 19 13, Serbia won two small-scale wars caused by the territorial division of Balkan countries. The ethnic elements in Serbia were very excited and determined their goal: to build a country with Serbia as the main body, including all ethnic groups in Yugoslavia, and the number one enemy to achieve this goal was Austria-Hungary.

As early as 1908, Austria-Hungary officially announced the annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (in fact, it has been occupied for a long time), causing serious protests from Serbia. The Austro-Hungarian Empire also assembled troops on the Serbian border, and the situation was tense. Later Serbia was forced to make concessions under the intervention of the great powers. However, Serbia's hatred of Austria is constantly expanding. Many people think that Austria-Hungary will annex Serbia in the next step, and it is more accurate to describe Austria in the eyes of Serbs by "demonizing Austria-Hungary".

In this context, Prince Ferdinand and his wife, the nephew of Joseph, the old emperor of Austria-Hungary, chose to visit Bosnia on Serbian shame day, which was regarded by many Serbs as an unbridled insult to Serbia, and the military exercises held in Bosnia also took Serbia as an imaginary enemy. 1965438+On June 28th, 2004, after watching the military exercise, Ferdinand and his wife, accompanied by the governor and mayor, took a convertible to the city hall. When the motorcade reached the downtown area, the Bosnian youth Zabulinovic, who was lying in ambush on the roadside, rushed forward and threw a bomb at Ferdinand's car, but it missed and only injured an accompanying officer. Ferdinand pretended to be calm and ordered the motorcade to move on. After attending the ceremony of the city hall, I returned by bus. When I drove to a street corner, the speed suddenly slowed down. Serbian youth Principo, who was hiding by the roadside, stepped forward and fired two shots at Ferdinand and his wife with a pistol. The bullet did not fail. Two shots killed two people.

The assassin's name is Principo, and he is a member of "Young Bosnia". This is a well-planned and prepared assassination. After the assassination, Principe knew that he was doomed and committed suicide.

Ferdinand and Principe are sworn enemies, but they also have one thing in common: they are both victims of extreme nationalism.

What happened later is familiar to everyone. Contradictions between European countries have intensified because of this incident. The already tense situation finally got out of control, and one country after another was involved in the war and divided into two factions. This is World War I. In this catastrophe, Europe actually didn't win.
