The Creation Background of "Song of the Wind"

In October of the 12th year of Emperor Gaozu (BC 196), Ying Bu, king of Huainan, rose up against Han. Because he was brave and good at fighting, Liu Bang had to go out in person.

Later, Ying Bu was defeated. On his way back to the army after the victory, Liu Bang stopped by his hometown, Pei County (now Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province), and called his former friends and elders to drink together for more than ten days. One day, when he drank too much wine, Liu Bang sang while hammering and improvised this song "Song of the Strong Wind".

A few years before the creation of this poem, the newly established Han Empire experienced rebellions in Rebecca, Zhang Qian, Han Wangxin and Chen Yi. Now the rebellion in Ying Bu has been put down, but the Huns in the north are eyeing up, the strength of the domestic rebels is waiting for an opportunity, and the whole country is teetering.

Liu Bang has returned to his hometown at this moment, remembering that the ups and downs of the first half of his life have brought today's glory, and all forces are trying to push this empire he built himself into the abyss. Presumably, Liu Bang sang this poem with a kind of heroism under the cover of sadness.

The wind is blowing hard and the clouds are flying. I have unified the world and returned to my hometown. How can we get a warrior to defend our country?

Appreciate:

Song of the Wind expresses Liu Bang's pride in returning to his hometown and his urgent desire to bring peace and stability to the country. There are only three sentences in this poem, which may be the shortest masterpiece in the history of China's poetry, but the soldiers are no longer sophisticated, and so is the poem. This little poem by Liu Bang is a good poem that has been handed down through the ages.

The first sentence, "There is a strong wind in the clouds", uses the image of turbulent clouds to compare the surging trend of the peasant uprising in the late Qin Dynasty. Since Chen Sheng and Guangwu blew the horn against the tyranny of the Qin Dynasty, especially Chen Sheng's declaration that "princes would rather have seeds", it has inspired the heroic dreams of countless people with lofty ideals.

Heroes are born in troubled times, and heroes are called in troubled times. At this time, both Liu Bang and Xiang Yu came out. They surge like a strong wind at the end of Qingping, and then the wind and thunder burst across the world.

"A strong wind rises in the clouds" not only describes the surging situation of people in the late Qin Dynasty, but also truly reproduces the scale, momentum and unparalleled strength of the peasant uprising. From Chen Shengshou to Ding Chang 'an of Liu Bangding, during this period, the opposition between the heroes and the Qin Dynasty and the competition between the dead and the dead were really flourishing, and all seven words were covered, with strong expression, strong power and majestic atmosphere.

The second sentence, "Jia Weihai Xi returned to his hometown", is Liu Bang's touching language and writes down the real scene in front of him. After the demise of the Qin Dynasty, there was no room for two tigers in one mountain, and the dispute between Chu and Han resumed. Xiang Yu and Liu Bang and diamond cut diamond fought fiercely for another five years. The final outcome was that Liu Bang proclaimed himself emperor, and Xiang Yu, who was out of the game, was defeated and committed suicide. After years of hard work, now the world is unified and the four seas are submissive.
