The original Shangcao band mainly played instrumental music. Combined with certain singing, erhu, flute, guzheng, cucurbit, electric guitar, bass and modern percussion music are integrated, so that the unrestrained western rock music collides with the euphemistic and elegant traditional China folk music, and the timbre of musical instruments in different historical periods transcends the interweaving of time and space. Achieve a more novel and shocking stage effect. The band is good at revising and interpreting famous folk instrumental music and nostalgic classic movies and TV plays. The traditional life scenes, humanistic concepts and moral sentiments expressed by Chinese classical music, plus a little modern openness, enterprising and unruly style, are the characteristics of the band. The band has six fixed members, namely: Erhu-Luo Hongjun; Dizi-Chen Jizhao, lead guitar-Li Tao, rhythm guitar and singer-Wei Yunfei, bass and singer-Wei Wei, drummer-Xiao Zhibin.
