Sonaona, a Chinese suona, is one of the most famous suona songs in China.
The suona, one of China's national wind instruments, is also a folk instrument widely circulated throughout China.
The suona has a bright, loud tone and a wooden, conical body, with a brass tube with a whistle at the upper end and a brass bell (called a bowl) over the lower end, hence the common name horn. In Taiwan, it is known as the drum blow; in Guangdong, it is also known as the tic-tac, which is one of the "eight tones" of Guangdong.
The suona is a high-pitched, loud and clear sounding instrument, which has been used in the past in folk songs, rice-planting songs, drumming classes, and the accompaniment of local music and operas. After continuous development, rich playing skills, improve the expressive power, has become a solo instrument with characteristics, and used for national band ensemble or opera, song and dance accompaniment.
