Binxian characteristic culture

Binxian characteristic culture includes social fire, drama, embroidery, water curtain Dengshan temple fair, dragon drum and so on.

1. Shehuo: Folk art developed on the basis of drum music and drama. Usually rehearsed at the end of the lunar new year, performed before and after the Lantern Festival, and ended at the end of the month. On the night of the performance, we lit a bonfire, changed villages, and the drum band cleared the way.

2. Drama: The performance has a long history, which is mainly based on Qin opera, with eyebrows, stringed boards and Taoist feelings. Most of them perform at temple fairs, praying for rain, harvest celebrations, weddings, funerals and other occasions.

3. Embroidery: This is the traditional embroidery of women in Binxian County. Embroidered on collars, sleeves, Chinese-style chest covering, uppers, soles, pillowcases, purses, door curtains, curtains and other daily necessities. Patterns include pine cranes, bamboo deer and peach blossoms.

4. Shuilian Dengshan Temple Fair: It is a very important festival in local cultural life, and its scale and influence are second only to the March 8th Temple Fair of the Great Buddha Temple. It is held on the 15th day of the first lunar month in Huaguoshan, Shuilian Village, Chengguan Town.

5. Dragon Drum: It is an intangible cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province, which originated in the Ming Dynasty. It is a unique folk inspiration that combines dance and drum music, and it is performed by dozens or even hundreds of people at the same time.
