About Nicholas Jonas
The band began as a solo album for Nicholas Jonas. When Nick was six years old, he was discovered singing while getting a haircut at a barbershop and was recommended to a professional entertainment manager
. When Nick was seven years old, he began performing on Broadway. He has performed in several shows including A Christmas Carol (in 2000 as Tiny Tim and Scrooge at eight), Annie Get Your Gun (in 2001 as Little Jake), Beauty and the Beast (in 2002 as Chip), and Les Misérables (in 2002 as Chip). and Les Misérables (in 2003 as Gavroche). After Les Misérables, he performed Kurt from The Sound of Music at the Paper Mill Playhouse.
By 2002, while performing Beauty and the Beast, he had already written a song with his dad called "Joy to the world (A Christmas Prayer)". While Nicholas was working on his solo album, Joseph (Joe Jonas) stepped up to Broadway, appearing in La Boheme.
In September 2004, a Columbia Records executive discovered Nick's songs, and Nick soon signed a contract with both INO and Columbia Records for the first single, "Dear God". The second single, Joy to the world (a Christmas prayer), was released on November 16th. In fact, the single was supposed to be released after the release of Nicholas Jonas' self-titled album, but the album was eventually returned without an official release, and only a limited edition was issued. Nick and Kevin wrote several other songs with Joe for the album.
In early 2005, Steve Greenberg, the new president of Columbia Records, heard Nick's record and, although he didn't like the album, he especially liked Nick's voice. After meeting Nick and hearing the song Please Be Mine written by the 3 brothers, Daylight/Columbia Records decided to sign the 3 brothers to a contract as an act. However, on 5/17/05, a song from the unreleased original album (Nicholas Jonas), Crazy Kind of Crush on You, appeared on the Darcy's Wild Life soundtrack.

On the official release of their first album, It's About Time (2005-2006)
After signing with Columbia Records, the three brothers intended to call the group Sons of Jonas. Jonas", before they settled on "Jonas Brothers".
By 2005, the Jonas Brothers had toured with several other stars, including Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, the Backstreet Boys, and the Click Five, and spent the rest of their time on the Aly&AJ tour. In March, Mandy was featured on the soundtracks for the Nickelodeon TV movies Zoey 101: Spring Break-up and Zoey 101: Music Mix. soundtracks of the Nickelodeon television movies Zoey 101: Spring Break-up and Zoey 101: Music Mix (the singer was labeled Nicholas Jonas at the time).
The group's music was also featured on Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays program. JB covered Yo Ho (A pirate's life for me) from Pirates of the Caribbean on the DisneyMania 4 compilation, released on April 4, 2006. In the summer of 2006, JB appeared on Aly & Aj's show, and they also wrote the theme song for the second season of American Dragon Jake Long, which was released in June 2006, and was featured in the second season of the show, DisneyMania 4. which ran from June 2006 to September 2007 on the Disney Channel.
It's about Time was finally released on August 8, 2006, but according to the band's manager, the album was limited to 50,000 copies. Because Sony wasn't interested in the band's future, JB considered switching labels/
On October 3, 2006, Nick's 2004 single Joy to the World (achristmas prayer) was re-released on Joy to the World: The Ultimate Christmas Collection. Christmas Collection. Also in October, JB covered Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid, which was featured in a music video on The Little Mermaid's deluxe double-disc soundtrack. The second single released was Year 3000. The song was a hit on Radio Disney and its music video aired for the first time on the Disney Channel in mid-July '07.
The band was officially dropped by Columbia Records in early '07.
About Jonas Brothers (2007-present)
After a short period without a record label, JB signed with Hollywood Records in Feb. 07, and around the same time, the 3 Brothers began doing commercials for Baby Bottle Pop and sang on one track. on March On March 27, two different songs, Kids of the Future from the Meet the Robinsons soundtrack and I wanna be like you from the DisneyMania 5 compilation, were released. On 6/16/07, JB kicked off their summer tour at the South Street Seaport in New York City.
The band's second self-titled album, Jonas Brothers, was released on August 7, 2007 and peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 200 in its first week of release. The video for the single Hold on was released 2 weeks before the album and SOS was released after the album.
The Jonas Brothers have made several television appearances in August. On Aug. 17, they made a guest appearance in 16 episodes of the second season of the Disney television series Hannah Montana (Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas), where they were also featured alongside miley cyrus. They also performed we got the party with miley cyrus in this episode, which aired the same night after High school musical 2 and was watched by over 10.7 million viewers. On August 24th, JB performed 2 songs at the Miss Teen USA contest and the next day they were featured at the DCG's Closing Ceremony Screening. The show was taped in Orlando, FL. on 4/27/07.On 8/26/07, the Jonas Brothers won the Teen Choice Awards along with Miley Cyrus.They also performed at the American Music Awards on 11/18/07, with a performance of SOS

From 10/18/07 to 9/1/08, the Jonas Brothers were on the road for the Miley Cyrus' 54-date Best Of Both Worlds Tour. Starting in St. Louis, Missouri and ending in Albany, NY.
The Jonas Brothers are also featured in the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of both worlds concert 3D movie (premiering February 1, 2008), in which the 3 brothers are featured. The 3D movie also featured performances of the brothers' latest single, When you look me in the eyes, their cover of the particularly popular Year 3000, and their recent duet with Miley Cyrus, We got the party

Because of their success, Disney has cast the Jonas Brothers in the movie Camp Rock (premiering June '08) and in the TV show J.O.N.A.S., about three spies hired by the government. The series will also be shown on the Disney Channel in 2008.
In an article with affirmations from JustJared.com hollywood records, it was mentioned that the Jonas Brothers' third album will be released on July 8, 08!!!!
