Personal life
Xu Ziwei was born in Fengcheng, a small city in the eastern part of Liaoning Province in northeastern China, of Manchu ethnicity, to a grandmother of the Aisin Gioro clan of the authentic Zhenghuang Banner. Xu Ziwei's older brother is Xu Zichun. Xu Zifai is the director of Asia Philharmonic International Orchestra and the music director of Charming Campus.
Xu Zifai studied music since childhood with his father, who took him to Shenyang Conservatory of Music and other places to study, but failed to get what he wanted.
Toward the end of 2010, Xu Zifai brought his grandfather, grandmother, and parents from his hometown in the Northeast to settle down and live in Beijing.
