Let Me Rejoice and Let Me Sorrow is a song performed by Zhou Huajian, with lyrics by Li Zongsheng, music by Fei Bird Liang, and arrangement by Bao Bida, on Zhou Huajian's album Let Me Rejoice and Let Me Sorrow, which was released on November 28, 1991.
Lyrics:
Love to the end, the water can't be retrieved, love is long, hate is long
Why do we have to go to the point where we can't keep it, and only then think of your tenderness again
Give me care and relieve my worries, add a lot of sorrow to me
Waiting endlessly in the late hours of the night, alone in tears, alone in endurance
How much do we want to say that I really love you, and how much do we want to say that I'm sorry for you?
Just give me a little more time, and a little more greetings
Don't take everything away, just give me a little more space, and a little more tenderness

Background of Creation
Lee felt that the song "Man and Woman" by the group Chuck and the Flying Birds would be a good fit for Chou Huajian, and suggested that he fill in the lyrics in Chinese and sing it himself. However, the boss of the record company was not satisfied with Zhou Hua Jian's version of the lyrics, because he had to record the song the next day, Zhou Hua Jian had to ask Li Zong Sheng to fill in the lyrics. Li wrote the lyrics in the bathroom of his home in Hong Kong, sitting on the toilet.
Lee expressed the pressure to deliver the song in a day's time through the lyrics of "Let Me Rejoice, Let Me Worry", "Just please give me a little more time, and a little more greetings; just please give me a little more space, and a little more gentleness," but the boss of the record company appreciated Lee's lyrics when he read them.
