Originally, Zhaoling refers to the mausoleums of Emperor Taizong of the Qing Dynasty and Emperor Borjigit of Xiaozong. Fangcheng is the main body of the mausoleum, its layout follows the principle of "before the right after the benefit". From south to north, it consists of three parts: front, center and back. Its main buildings are built on the central axis, both sides of the symmetrical arrangement, imitated from the Ming Dynasty emperor's tomb, with the characteristics of Manchu tombs.
Zhaoling square city is divided into three parts. The front part from south to north, from the lower horse north to the main red gate, including Huabiao, stone room, stone tablets, dressing hall, slaughter hall; the middle section, the main red gate to the defense city, including Huabiao, stone Xiangsheng, north building, sacrifice room; the back of the square city, the crescent city, the treasure city.
