Shenyang Conservatory of Music is the only one in Northeast China that has a long history and a glorious revolutionary tradition of higher education in music and art. It is one of the nine major music colleges in China, as well as the oldest of all the music colleges in China. It is one of the outstanding art colleges and universities in the Ministry of Education's assessment of the level of undergraduate teaching work in ordinary institutions of higher education.
The predecessor was founded in 1938 in Yan'an Lu Xun College of the Arts Music Department, the founding initiators of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other revolutionaries of the old generation, the end of 1948, the College is located in Shenyang.
