The Historical Evolution of Shawurden

More than 50,000 Mongolians living in Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang are descendants of Turhute and Heshuote who returned to the motherland from the Volga River basin more than 230 years ago. In Bayinbuluke grassland in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, the original ecological "Shawuerdeng" dance has been passed down from generation to generation among herders, just as the natural ecology has been well preserved. Under the great attention of the Party Committee and People's Government of Autonomous Prefecture, the professional artists of Bazhou Song and Dance Troupe have worked hard to study, excavate, sort out and process this precious national heritage for decades. Since 1970s, Scholden has been gradually put on the stage. 198 1 year, the Mongolian group dance "Wu Sha Er Deng" won an excellent program in the national minority dance competition.
