Raise the red lantern choreography

This version of the dance places special emphasis on storytelling and plot, but it also pays great attention to decoration, and even draws on the expression techniques of Chinese shadow puppetry. In the third act, there is also a large section of modern dance for two persons, but folk dance accounts for a large proportion of it. Among them: solo dance, duet dance, trio dance, quartet dance, lamp lighting group dance, bearer group dance, mahjong group dance and water sleeve group dance are all very distinctive and have the dance structure of a ballet. The pas de deux at the prologue is performed by the heroine in student uniform and the samurai in costume. It is not so much a pas de deux as a solo dance by a woman using the samurai as a prop, which is beautiful and touching. This dance drama also used four real Peking Opera actors for the first time.
