Why is the suona a rogue in the music world?
The reason why the suona is a rogue is because it doesn't have the temperament of a king, but tm has the strength of a king. The suona doesn't have the elegance of a piano, or the lilt of a flute, and in my eyes, it doesn't even come close to any of the nice words that describe the instrument. Sharp, eerie, that's more in line with its description. But then again, it can be festive, it can be stirring, it can even play the sound of birds chirping, it's so strange! There is a very appropriate word for the suona's place in musical instruments- oddball!
