Main attractions of Sanshui Forest Park

The reclining Buddha is located in Tianxianyan, a forest park. According to legend, when Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Buddhism, passed by here late at night after giving a lecture, he saw the celestial stone flashing, and it was faintly visible that the big stone lying horizontally was a reclining Buddha. Six ancestors immediately bowed down and asked the Buddha to bless the world. The carving inspiration of the reclining Buddha comes from this legend, taking the reclining Buddha in Dunhuang in the prosperous Tang Dynasty as the model. The length of the Buddha statue is108m, which is the largest in the world. Now it's wrapped in copper and turned into a sleeping Buddha in gold. In front of the Giant Buddha, there are fish ponds and lotus ponds in koi fish, which set each other off. On the other side of the Buddha, there is a 60-meter-long corridor with Buddhist stories painted in it. On the second floor, there is a platform for worshipping Buddha, which gives you a panoramic view of the Buddha.

Sanshui Sino-Tibetan Buddhist Culture and Art Museum is located behind Tianxianyan Park. As the crystallization of Sino-Tibetan Buddhist cultural exchange, it was built according to the pattern of Tibetan temples as a whole. After the completion, the Tathagata brought to Tibet by Princess Wencheng was enshrined in it and became the treasure of the town temple. Sanshui Hall of Han and Tibetan Buddhism culture and art is full of aura, full of believers and full of incense, and it is worthy of being a sacred place of Han and Tibetan Buddhism culture.

Gokurakuji in the Giant Buddha Area is under construction. Located in the center of Yuanyang Lake, the square is built on the mountain, which is even more imposing. It is a large square integrating entertainment, assembly, mountaineering and leisure functions. There is an iconic boulder in the square-the declaration stone, which symbolizes the love declaration of a couple, and also symbolizes the ecological declaration and development declaration of the forest park in a broad sense. In addition, there are totem poles in the square, large-scale gardening for viewing, and outdoor large-scale stage where you can enjoy various large-scale cultural performances during festivals, which will make you linger.
