Laughter, spring breeze, square dance, 6-year-old children dancing.

This problem is beyond doubt for many parents. Most parents will definitely send their daughters to learn dance. Because it is helpful for children's growth, and dancing can improve children's temperament, and it can also exercise and enhance the coordination ability of various parts of the body, which is beneficial to physical and mental health. But recently, a six-year-old girl learned to dance and practice her waist, and she was paralyzed for life.

According to the Yangzi Evening News, Xiaoli, a 6-year-old girl from Suzhou, is taking a dance class in a training institution. Because of a low back movement and improper first aid by the dance teacher, the lumbar spinal cord was seriously injured, leading to paraplegia.

Before the summer vacation of 20 17, Ms. Li (pseudonym) from Suzhou signed up her daughter Xiaoli (pseudonym) in a children's dance training institution in her own community. Ms. Li said that this institution is in the community, and many children are attending classes here. The reputation has always been good, and nothing has happened. She felt very relieved and signed up the child.

But unfortunately, it happened. One day in July, 20 17, when the teacher was teaching the children to do the training action of "bending over", Xiaoli suddenly collapsed to the ground. Asked by the teacher, Xiaoli said that she had low back pain, weak legs and feet, and dared not move. Then Xiaoli had a rest, and the teacher helped Xiaoli and sent her home.

Ms. Li quickly sent her child to the Children's Hospital affiliated to Suda University for treatment. Results Zhen, deputy director of the Department of Orthopaedics of the Children's Hospital affiliated to Su Da, said that after examination, the child's lumbar spinal cord was seriously injured and paraplegia had been caused.

With the improvement of the quality of life, it has become the choice of many parents to sign up for a dance class for their children and let them accept artistic edification. However, in recent years, the cases of children's lifelong paralysis caused by accidental dancing injuries have increased year by year. On 20 17, SUDA Children's Hospital admitted two cases. In Beijing, there are nearly 100 cases like this, mostly children aged six or seven.

So should children take dance lessons?

The doctor said that the child's flexibility is the main cause of injury. If the teacher knew the knowledge of first aid, he might not be paraplegic. In this case, the obvious problem is that the first aid is not enough. Everyone thinks that children are flexible, so many actions are relatively big. Everyone thinks there is nothing wrong with children.

And some professional dance teachers have not been specially trained in first aid knowledge. They don't think it necessary to learn these first aid knowledge. Because the teacher was injured while practicing dancing, he has many years of personal experience.

Children who learn dance are on the rise, but teachers and parents' first aid knowledge and literacy have not kept up, leading to an increase in similar incidents. Of course, learning dance is nothing, but it can also bring great benefits to children. However, parents and teachers of dance training institutions should be reminded to learn relevant first aid knowledge to avoid similar incidents from happening again.
