This year's Malaysia Airlines Race continued the theme of "Running over the scenery and running over you". * * * About 35,000 runners from all over the country and fitness enthusiasts from Hang Cheng actively participated in the competition, and completed five groups of races, including full marathon, half marathon, health race, couple race and family race, along the beautiful runways along the West Lake and Qiantang River.
The predecessor of Hangzhou Marathon is West Lake Osmanthus International Marathon and International Friendly West Lake Marathon, which started on June 1987 and ended on June 10. It is one of the oldest marathon events in China and an international marathon event registered by China Athletics Association and International Marathon and Road Running Association (AIMS).
Su Guoxiong won the men's marathon in Hangzhou Marathon with 2 hours 17 minutes 17 seconds, Bakhtar Wulazi Aili won the second place with 2 hours 17 minutes and 26 seconds, and Cheng Ganyu won the third place with 2 hours 17 minutes and 34 seconds.
Wang Min won the women's championship in 2 hours, 33 minutes and 47 seconds, Li Dan won the second place in 2 hours, 39 minutes and 24 seconds, and Song Jinting won the third place in 2 hours, 40 minutes and 3 1 second.
