1. Spring Festival

Temple fairs and "fireworks grabbing" were held in rural areas of sixteen counties. According to the unique customs of the Zhuang family, we should also carry out activities such as picking new water, drinking clever water, dancing lions, chickens and spring cows. Before the dawn of the New Year's Day, the wives of the Zhuang nationality had already gone to the river to pick up new water for the whole family. When picking fresh water, we should also pick up a few stones similar to domestic animals to go home, and imitate the sounds of six domestic animals all the way. When I got home, I put these stones in pigsty and cowshed to pray for the prosperity of the six animals. Then, boil New Year's tea with new water for the whole family to drink. Strong women want to drink smart water, that is, before drawing new water, they compete to drink the clear water given to them by the village's recognized "smart sister-in-law". They believe that this will make them smarter, and the girls to be married will take this opportunity to make up for finding the right husband in the new year.
2. Lantern Festival
Time: 15th day of the first lunar month
Introduction: It is popular in ethnic minority areas in northwest and southwest Guangxi to hold lantern races on the Lantern Festival. People put out their own lanterns on the night of the Lantern Festival and compete to see who can do it best and skillfully. People not only compete with each other for lights, but also compete with the moon for brilliance. All kinds of lights are hung on trees or placed on the ground to form colorful night scenes. These lights are usually inserted in grapefruit with evil spirits, or incense is used instead of fire, that is, countless incense sticks are inserted in grapefruit to form dots of light. When the lights or incense are naturally extinguished, it means that the 15-day Spring Festival has ended successfully and the new year has begun. In Shanglin, Jingxi and other places in Guangxi, there is also the custom of eating oil balls (also called fried piles or oil piles in some places). On Bobai Day, families will kill chickens and burn "finished lanterns" paper to offer sacrifices to the gods and ancestors. That night, people went to the wild vegetable fields and picked several bags of other people's vegetables to go home, which was called "stealing green", indicating a good sign. In Shahe, Dungu and other places, in addition to stealing green, some people are still rolling on the ground where green hemp is planted, thinking that it can cure low back pain.
3. The dragon looks up
Time: the second day of the second month of the lunar calendar
Introduction: The most famous dragon looks up and grabs fireworks on the second day of February. Fireworks Festival is a traditional festival popular among the Dong, Zhuang, Miao and Mulao ethnic minorities in Sanjiang, Longsheng, Rongshui and Hunan Passage in Guangxi. The festivals vary from the third day of the first month to the 15th day of May and the 2nd day of February. The Fulu Fireworks Festival in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County is the most lively, and the main activity is to grab fireworks. On the day of fireworks display, the nearby villages organized gun teams to grab guns, with more than ten or twenty people in each team. Fireworks are small iron rings decorated with red and green wool, which are placed at the top of the iron cannon. When the iron rings fall from the air after the cannon rings, the contestants strive to win, grab the fireworks and send them to the designated place. The famous fireworks festival in Rongshui Dongtou Township is held every two years, both on February 2nd.
4. Tomb-Sweeping Day

Introduction: Tomb-Sweeping Day, a villager from Hengzhou, took willow leaves and snails to wash his eyes, which is said to brighten his eyes; After sweeping the tomb in Xingren County, white paper is used as a long banner to hang on the head of the tomb, which is called "standard grave" and also called "hanging green"; When sweeping graves in Kaiyang County, the chief priest of the year prepares wine and food as a sacrifice, and after the sacrifice, relatives and friends dine nearby, which is called a "picnic"; Most of the villagers in Wuzhou visited the graves on the day of Tomb-Sweeping Day and in the following days, and only a few villagers did it a few days ago in Tomb-Sweeping Day. The Zhuang family loves five-color glutinous rice very much and regards it as a symbol of good luck and good harvest. On the third day of the third lunar month or the big day in Tomb-Sweeping Day every year, Zhuang families usually make colorful glutinous rice to worship their ancestors and entertain relatives and friends. Children's full moon, the joy of housewarming, will also cook five-color glutinous rice and distribute it to neighbors to pay tribute. Zhuang people love maple leaves, and think that maple leaves can "drive away evil spirits" and bring good luck and peace to people.
5. Dragon Boat Festival
Time: the fifth day of the fifth lunar month
Introduction: When Guangxi people celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, the traditional customs inherited in memory of Qu Yuan include dragon boat racing, eating zongzi and preparing sacrifices. Before the legend of Qu Yuan was widely circulated, the custom of Dragon Boat Festival followed the taboo of evil days, focusing on health care and avoiding epidemic diseases, which were mainly reflected in hanging Acorus calamus leaves and wearing sachets to ward off evil spirits, washing traditional Chinese medicine baths, soaking in herbal wine and realgar wine.
6. Mid-Autumn Festival
Time: August 15th of the lunar calendar
Introduction: In Nanning, Guangxi, people not only prepare a rich reunion dinner, but also invite friends to enjoy the moon outdoors in the evening. Watching lanterns is the highlight. On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, the lantern shows of various shapes in the park make people linger. In the Mid-Autumn Festival custom of the Dong people in Guangxi, in the evening, a well-prepared Lusheng song and dance team goes to a nearby cottage to compete songs, with melodious songs and dancing, and the crowd seems to be rippling in the moonlight like water, which is called "walking on the moon". Dong people have the custom of "singing and proposing marriage". On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, Dong boys dressed in festive costumes, holding lusheng, marching in the moonlight in groups, playing wonderful music, and jumping into the song competition venue from all directions with cheerful dance steps. One person leads the song and dances, and everyone is in harmony. The audience was like a cloud and the music was deafening. The young man who can sing and dance was soon led aside by the beautiful girl, and the two sang and danced. When a couple of young men and women danced to the mountain path, there were fewer and fewer people on the singing field. Young men and women who left alone had to wait for the lunar new year before throwing the red line.
7. Fuyang Street Lantern Festival

Introduction: It is a traditional Lantern Festival in Fuchuan County. The Diwali lasts for six days, with the 1th day as the upper Diwali and the 15th day as the lower Diwali. The lanterns of all streets are brightly lit, gongs and drums are loud, firecrackers are ringing, and dragon dance teams such as Huanglong, Qinglong and Bailong are dispatched to dance and worship in front of the lanterns. 8. No Wind Festival
Time: 2th day of the first lunar month
Location: Lingui District, Guilin City
Introduction: Miaopingwei traditional festival in Lingui County, Guilin City. Legend has it that in ancient times, Fengshen was angry and the village was affected. Some immortals gave directions to the people, and on the 2th day of the first month, no sound or wind was allowed, offering sacrifices to Fengshen, which proved to be effective, and this day became the No Wind Festival. Before the festival, people tied some crosses with straw, pressed them in the corner of the field and hung the eaves. During the festival, all sounds are forbidden, and even clothes can only be spread on the grass. In order to avoid people coming and going making noise, all the people in the village leave home to go to Miaopingwei for the festival. Festival activities are colorful, beating gongs and drums, dancing lions and singing operas, and singing folk songs when night falls. This day, which used to be a day of no sound and no wind, turned into a happy event at Miaopingwei.
9. Fireworks Festival
Time: different places, from January to October
Location: Guilin
Introduction: Fireworks Festival is a traditional festival of Dong people. On this day, fireworks will be set off. The first gun means that the population is prosperous, the second gun means congratulations on making a fortune, and the third gun means that the grain is abundant. After the fireworks, young men and women get together to play lusheng and dance. At night, the bonfire was lit, and some people sang Dong Opera, some sang songs freely, and there was laughter. The date of the Fireworks Festival is different in different places, from the first month to October. Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County is the third day of the first month (the lunar calendar, the same below), Meilin is the second day of February, Fulu is the third day of March, and Linxi is October 26. Whether you can meet it depends on your luck.

11. Yangshuo Society Day

Location: Yangshuo County, Guilin City
Introduction: Yangshuo Society Day is divided into Spring Society and Autumn Society, and the fifth day of beginning of spring is Spring Society, and the fifth day of beginning of autumn is Autumn Society, usually between February and August of the lunar calendar. There is a popular saying in the rural areas of Yangshuo that "it is better to be an official for three years than to play the club for one day". Because in every village, regardless of wealth or rank, there are as few as 1 households and as many as 2 or 3 households. In order to handle funerals for each other, "eating clubs" (one man for each household) are held on social days, and a contract is made for handling funerals in one year, stipulating that each household at the funeral in that year should help the mourners with money and food, and be responsible for carrying coffins and funerals, which is commonly known as "Ten Friends Club" in rural areas. Anyone who does not participate in the "eating club" will be expelled from the "Ten Friends Club", and the club members will no longer be responsible for the funeral of his family.
12. Ox King Festival

Introduction: Legend has it that Ox King Festival is the birthday of a cow. People celebrate the cow's birthday in various forms. Every household cleans the cowshed, inserts "Fengxiang" at the door of the cowshed, sacrifices the cow king at the door of the cowshed, cooks glutinous rice to feed the cow, and gives the cow a rest on this day. On this day, rural farmers in Yangshuo eat black glutinous rice and feed it to cattle, which helps them to solve problems and thank them for their hard work.
13. Dragon Mother Cultural Tourism Festival
Time: the seventh day of the fifth month to the tenth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar
Location: Dragon Mother Temple in Guilin Road, Wuzhou City
Introduction: Dragon Mother Cultural Tourism Festival is centered on the famous Dragon Mother Temple in Wuzhou at home and abroad, showing colorful religious culture and Wuzhou folk art. "Dragon Mother Culture" is a Lingnan culture with strong local color, which has great influence on the people in the Xijiang River Basin and the Pearl River Basin, enjoys a lofty position and enjoys a long-standing reputation. Legend has it that the Dragon Mother is the leader of Baiyue tribe in Xijiang River Basin, and her surname is Ai. Administer water for the people and benefit the people. The belief in Dragon Mother is widespread especially in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Every year, many tourists come to worship, especially on the Dragon Mother's Birthday (the eighth day of the fifth lunar month), people spontaneously hold a huge opening ceremony.
14. Welfare May 8th Festival
Time: the eighth day of the fifth lunar month
Location: Yangshuo County, Guilin City
Introduction: Welfare May 8th Festival is a folk art, sports and sacrifice activity carried out by welfare non-governmental organizations in Yangshuo County in Welfare Town. On the eighth day of May every year, households in the fair set up vertical colored lanterns with a height of 3 feet and 6 inches and set them off in front of the grandparents' temples in the town. Then, more than 1 bodhisattvas in the two temples were sacrificed, and they were carried and paraded in the street. There are literary and art teams, sports teams, lion dancing, playing with lanterns, walking on stilts, making paper with the Eight Immortals and so on. After the parade, there are folk art performances and sports activities, which usually last five to ten days. During the festival (local people call it meeting time), each family brews bitter gourd as its own main course and entertains guests.
15. Taste the New Year Festival
Time: the sixth day of the sixth lunar month
Location: Yangshuo County, Guilin City
Introduction: On this day, farmers all prepare wine gifts to offer sacrifices at the corner of the field, and use money paper to tie barrels full of new grains and insert them on the field base to show the Man Cang of rice, or hold a "Bodhisattva" parade to pray for a bumper harvest.
16. June 23rd Festival
Time: June 23rd, Lunar New Year
Location: Yangshuo County, Guilin City
Introduction: June 23rd Festival is a folk art, sports and sacrifice activity carried out by non-governmental organizations in Baisha Town, which is also called a rush session by local people. June 23rd is the busiest day of the year in Baisha Town. It is the birthday of Guan Yu, a general of Shu in the Three Kingdoms period. Guan Yu was loyal and righteous, so people commemorated him in various forms. Grab the "fireworks" is a very important activity in this festival. Anyone who gets the red ring can grab it before reporting to the first desk. This is a contest between strength and wisdom.
17. Panwang Festival of Yao people in Mengshan

19. Gongcheng Peach Blossom Festival
