Introduction

At the time of the Ten-Year Civil War, the girl from a peasant family in Hainan Island, Wu Qinghua, was robbed and made a slave by the evil landowner, Nanbatian, due to the poverty of her family. She tries to escape from the landlord's cage several times, but she is caught and thrown into the gloomy water prison. One day, a giant Chinese businessman came to Nanbatian's house, and Qinghua was transferred to the "giant businessman" as a gift. The merchant took her on a road trip and released her. She ran fast through the wind and rain, over the trees, to the revolutionary base, found the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, and joined the Red Maiden Scouts, a fighting company in the Qiongya Independent Division made up entirely of laboring women.
