Introduction
China is the only country in the world to hold the national agricultural games on a regular basis . The reason for organizing the National Agricultural Games is that it fully reflects the great importance that the Party and the State attach to the issue of the "Three Rural Issues" and the deep concern for the 900 million farmers. From a small point of view, it is to implement the idea of "people-oriented", and to grasp the rural sports is actually to grasp the labor productivity. Through sports and fitness, farmers can have more energy to devote to production. Moreover, the rich farmers also need a special stage to show their new image.
We are accustomed to the Olympic Games, the National Games and other high-level athletic competitions, and then look at the different styles of "agricultural flavor" of the game, will feel interesting. Agricultural Games, "agricultural flavor" is first reflected in the fun, ornamental and participatory, drought water to keep seedlings running, throwing seedlings in situ, carry picking grain, collective well-off relay and other projects, are derived from the daily life of farmers, rich in Chinese rural characteristics. The greatest pleasure of this kind of competition is not to emphasize the results of the competition, but the participants and the audience feel that it is a lot of fun. The reporter saw some players practicing rice-planting on the rice-planting board, and saw that they were really good at rice-planting as if they were flying! Walked over to ask, but was told that they have long been mechanical rice-planting there. When I asked them how they felt about the rice-planting training and competition, most of them answered that it was "fun"! Simple two words out of our countryside changes, they are no longer the old "mud pole", they learn to enjoy life and enjoy playing, they also want to play into the arena dazzling star, in front of the people of the country to show their "play" image. This year's Farmers' Games also has a feature, athlete qualifications to break the past must have a hard threshold of agricultural household registration, the new residents living in the township below 16 years of age or older can register to participate in the provisions. This is to adapt to the development of society and the urban-rural dual structure is breaking down the new situation, "agricultural flavor" is no longer synonymous with the countryside. They are not fake or pseudo-farmers, and they are not competing under the banner of farmers and undermining the principle of fair play, they are new socialist farmers.
He Zhenliang, honorary chairman of the Chinese Olympic Committee, once said, "The Farmers' Games is a pioneering move in Chinese sports." The significance of this initiative is perhaps in the reflection of the farmers' brothers to improve their quality of life and run towards a comprehensive well-being in a happier and more fun way!
