Liuyang River belongs to Hunan Province.

Liuyang River, also known as Liuwei River, is located in the east of Hunan Province, with a total length of ***234.8 kilometers and a drainage area of 4,665 square kilometers. It flows through more than 40 towns and villages in Liuyang City and Changsha County.

Liuyang River is a first-class tributary of Xiangjiang River, which originates from the northern foot of Dawei Mountain in Luo Xiao Mountains, and has two sources: Daxi River and Xiaoxi River.

The upper reaches of Liuyang River are Shuangjiangkou reach of Tanyang Township (now Gaoping Township), the middle reaches are Shuangjiangkou to Zhentou City, and the lower reaches start from Zhentou City and join Xiangjiang River in Chenjiachang, Changsha City. There is a delta water station on Liuyang River.

The source of Liuyang River is Huamen River in Dawei Mountain Canyon, starting from Huamen Longwangtan Scenic Resort Scenic Area Waterfall in the east and reaching Yangshuwan in Shuangjiangkou in the west, with a total length of 7 kilometers. Drifting along the river, choose rapids and deep pools, and dangerous peaks, strange rocks, ancient trees, flowers and plants, blue sky and white clouds are reflected on the water. Its hydrological characteristics are urgency, danger, strangeness and beauty.

The middle and upper reaches of the river are covered by dense forests, and the whole river course is pollution-free. This river is clear all the year round.
