Latin Dance (Latin Dance) includes the Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Jet and Bullfight.
Each type of dance has its own music, steps and style. According to the music and movement requirements of each type of dance, they are organized into their own sets of movements.
Introduction
International Standard Dance originated from the ancient folk dance, through the pair dance, circle dance, line dance, collective dance and other evolutionary processes, and with the European aristocrats in the court held in the combination of ballroom dance will become a widely circulated social dance. After the French Revolution, it became popular among the people. After World War II, Americans spread the dance around the globe.
In 1904, the Royal Society of Teachers of Dancing was founded.
In the 1820s, the Royal Society of Teachers of Dancing initiated the beginning of the study of traditional court dances, ballroom dances and Latin American countries on the basis of the various types of folk dances, the then popular in Europe and the United States of America and the United States of America popular dances, dance steps, directions and so on, organized into a unified standard, formulated the standards of the theory of the dance, technique, music, clothing and other athletic standards.
In 1925, the pace of the four dances, waltz, tango, fox-trot and quick-step, collectively known as the Modern Dance, was officially promulgated.
In 1947, the first World Standard Ballroom Dance Championship was held in Berlin, Germany.
In 1950, the British World Dance Organization (ICBD) hosted the first Blackpool Dance Festival 1950 in Blackpool, England, and named the standardized dance as International Standard Dance, and then held a world competition in Blackpool at the end of May every year.
After that the Viennese Waltz was added to Modern Dance.
In 1960, the folk dances of some African and Latin American countries were standardized and processed, and then the Latin dance competition was added, including five dances: rumba, cha-cha-cha, samba, cowboy, and bullfighting.
In 1992, International Standard Dance was listed as an Olympic performance item.
Subsequently, international standard dance, also known as "sports dance", was planned to be included in the sports program.
On September 4, 1997, the 74-member International Dance Sport Federation became a member of the International Olympic Committee.
In 2000, the International Standard Ballroom Dance was once again recognized as a performance event at the Sydney Olympic Games.
International standard ballroom dance was introduced to China in the 1930s and developed rapidly in the 1980s.
The first China International Standard Ballroom Dance Competition was held in 1987.
The first China Sport Dance Championship was held in 1991.
In 2008 the international standard ballroom dance will become the official competition of the Beijing Olympic Games.
