Presiding words for the Dragon Boat Festival Poetry Festival in Qu Yuan’s hometown

Part 1: Sunshine Prelude

Dance with a long hammer to cut through the dark clouds, Riding a Qiu directly up to Kunlun, reciting a "Songs of Chu" moved the world and left a legacy of culture that will be passed down through the ages.

Dear leaders, distinguished guests, poets, and folks in Lepingli, good morning. In this season when rice dumplings are fragrant, the host sends warm wishes to everyone, wishing you smooth sailing along the broad road paved by the sun, laughing and singing all the way.

The wind in May is like a beautiful girl, with a colorful skirt exuding the fragrance of flowers. The wind in May is like a lively girl, lightly flapping the wings of song. Bathing in the breeze, passing through the fragrance of flowers, and following the singing, you come to the hometown of the great soul of poetry and the scene of the Dragon Boat Festival Poetry Recital. On behalf of the Poetry Society Organizing Committee, the host would like to extend his warmest welcome to you.

Who can tell me when the Dragon Boat Festival is divided? It is rumored to be Qu Yuan throughout the ages. One May more than two thousand years ago, Qu Yuan left, walking into the waves of Miluo and into the boundless desolation. The sky is spinning and the sun is turning, and the sea is changing, but Qu Yuan's great spirit and the lingering charm of his poetry are as long as the heaven and the earth, and as bright as the sun and the moon.

Qu Yuan is gone, but his hometown Zigui has become the hometown of Chinese poetry, a fertile soil rich in poetry, and a holy place that Chinese poets yearn for.

Every year is a happy Dragon Boat Festival, and thousands of people make pilgrimages to Zigui. The rising sun opens up a new world in the blue sky, and the green mountains and green waters create a poetic atmosphere. The 2015 Dragon Boat Festival Poetry Recital in Qu Yuan’s hometown has kicked off. First of all, I would like to introduce to you the leaders and guests attending this poetry recital.

Dear leaders, distinguished guests, and distinguished poets. The land under our feet is called Lepingli. It is as beautiful and magical as the Peach Blossom Spring. Qu Yuan, the star of poetry that shines brightly and shines through the ages, rises from here. The 2013 Dragon Boat Festival Poetry Recital in Qu Yuan's hometown opened with passion: "Ode to Orange", dedicated by the children of Qu Yuan Primary School.

The empress has a beautiful tree, and her tangerine servants are dressed in orange. She will not move when ordered to do so, and she was born in the southern country. At this moment, our eyes pass through the tunnel of time and see Qu Yuan, the ancestor of Chinese poetry. His clothes are flying and he chants affectionately. It complements the lush orange trees around us, forming the most magnificent scenery in the splendid mountains and rivers.

The wind blows the rhyme of the trees and pines, the dew moistens the fragrant grass and the fragrance of moxa. The poet's interest in the meeting is short, but the ordinary mood is long. We firmly believe that where there is life, there is poetry, and where there is poetry, there is the unique heartbeat of poets. Holding high the banner of Qu Yuan's spirit, the long river of poetry of the Chinese nation will always be turbulent and vast.

Dear leaders, distinguished guests, fellow poets, and folks in Lepingli, the 2015 Dragon Boat Festival Poetry Recital in Qu Yuan’s hometown has come to a successful conclusion. Next year’s Dragon Boat Festival, we will gather happily in the name of poetry again. Goodbye! ;
