Jinchang City is in Gansu Province, as well as an important node city of the ancient Silk Road and one of the major cities of the Hexi Corridor.
Jinchang City is located in northwest China, Gansu Province, the middle part of the Hexi Corridor, the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains. In 2015, it was named a national civilized city, and is also one of the first batch of national comprehensive pilot areas for new urbanization.
