Day 7: arrive in Beijing, the end of the pleasant journey!

"May Day" holiday is coming soon, we all want to take advantage of this rare vacation, to fly themselves. The following is a seven-day tour of Xi'an that I designed on your behalf, and I hope it will be helpful to you.

May 1

It is recommended to take the T52 express train from Shanghai to Urumqi at 18:20 on the evening of April 30, and arrive in Xi'an at 10:52 the next morning. This way you have to go straight to the train station as soon as you get off work. That saves time and saves you a night's hotel bill.

After arriving in Xi'an and solving the problems of accommodation and other issues, you can start touring in the afternoon.

The afternoon can first go to visit several attractions in Xi'an: the main ones are:

(1) Ci'en Temple, which is where the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located. Built in the Tang Dynasty, it is the place where Venerable Xuanzang, the Three Tibetans of the Tang Dynasty, translated the Buddhist scriptures after he returned from his trip to the Western Paradise to get the scriptures. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a landmark of Xi'an, is more than sixty meters high and is a square cone-shaped pagoda. This pagoda is precisely square and different from other pagodas for the domestic rare. Divided into seven layers, you can climb the tower. In accordance with the principle of mechanics, the square building stress distribution is not as uniform as the round building, but it can survive thousands of years of wind, rain and earthquakes, and still stands intact, which can not be said to be a miracle, although it has tilted.

(2)Ancient City of Xi'an, now a ringed city. The Ancient City Wall of Xi'an is one of only a few very well-preserved ancient cities in China. It, together with the moat, drawbridge, gate tower, archery tower, main building, corner tower, daughter wall, battlements, and city gates, form a city defense system of the Cold War era. After ascending the city, you can circumnavigate Xi'an for a week. There are excursion buses up there with sectional billing. Those who like antiques or knick-knacks can ask someone, and I remember coming down from a certain exit that happens to be the Shuyuanmen Ancient Culture Street. There is a very strong cultural flavor there, and it is a place for those literati who like zither, chess, calligraphy and painting, and the four treasures of the literary house to linger.

(3) In addition, there is the Xi'an History Museum, Bell Tower and Drum Tower to visit. It is worth mentioning the Xi'an Forest of Monuments, which collects many calligraphy masters, literati and scholars' ink writings. It is an eye-opening experience for those who are interested in Chinese culture.

May 2

This day you can visit the sights of Xi'an's eastern route. Visiting the sights of Xi'an's eastern route is generally not suitable to go with the tour bus, on the one hand, the tour bus to rip off people, on the other hand, and lose the freedom of action. Took a small flag, like driving a flock of ducks, say stop, say go, such grazing tourism and how to talk about what the fun of travel? It is recommended to go to the train station to take the 307 bus directly to the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang. (Keep your eyes open: there are also fake 307 buses.) The main attractions are:

(1) Terracotta Warriors and Horses. This is the so-called seventh wonder of the world, the pride of the Chinese nation. More than twenty years ago, the Terracotta Warriors were just on display, and visitors were allowed to walk up to the Terracotta Warriors and get up close and personal with them. I once went down to the terracotta warriors. These terracotta warriors are taller than I am, and all of them are lifelike, and they are staring at you with big eyes. I can not help but feel a cold air from the back rise, it is hairy. I can not help but quickly run away. I can't help but be impressed by such a majestic scene, can't help but feel the powerful shock of the soul. To know, thousands of years ago, to complete such a magnificent project has to pay how great hardship and labor, it is inconceivable. It can be imagined that Qin Shi Huang poured all his national strength to create such a huge mausoleum for his own death, how domineering and cruel. No wonder history says that Qin Shi Huang was a tyrant. Nowadays, tourists are no longer allowed to get close to the Terracotta Warriors, and are only allowed to stand on the raised platforms around the Terracotta Warriors and look down, which may not feel so strong. First, the distance is far away, and secondly, they are standing in the high place, have the feeling of being above the terracotta warriors. However, one can still appreciate the huge scale of the Terracotta Warriors. When visiting the Terracotta Warriors, pay special attention to the bronze carriage, it is made of exquisite, complex technology, modeling of realistic, all breathtaking. Enough to make the modern people who have mastered the precision casting process feel ashamed. In addition, there is a gallery specializing in displaying those terracotta warriors and horses just excavated when the scene. Look at those who fall on their sides, broken hands and legs of the scene, as if after a big battle after the people turned over the messy scene, it is thrilling. The scene of the people's deaths is a thrilling one.

(2) Huaqing Pond, is the Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei once lived in the royal garden. Especially to "long hate song" in the sentence "in the sky would like to be a bird, in the ground would like to be a branch" and people have long been known. It is said that the lotus pond where Yang Guifei bathed still exists today. But as far as I can see, it's just a not-so-great park. To put it bluntly, it's a large group of people milling around someone else's bath tub, making it feel weird and silly. However, it's a treat to take a bath here. It is a real hot spring Oh, after washing, the skin is smooth, like a layer of gelatin. It is also said to be able to beautify. In addition, there are more characteristics of the five head. It is the place where Chiang Kai-shek lived during the Xi'an Incident. Behind the Huaqing Pond is Mount Li, a line of the Qinling Mountains. When I climbed to the beacon tower on this mountain, I also felt the strain of "burgundy". Speaking of the beacon tower here, it is the place where King Yu of Zhou "Beacon Fire Playing with Lords and Lords". Now, a cable car has been built. In all fairness, Mount Li has few beautiful scenery. There is a rocky crevice on the mountain where Chiang Kai-shek is said to have been captured, and a "Chiang Pavilion" has been built next to it for people to pay their respects.

(3) Xi'an Half-slope Ruins, is a primitive matriarchal clan communal village ruins. Displayed with the ancestors used cooking utensils, holes in the ground, and so on. It is a museum.

(4) In addition, there is the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, which has not yet been excavated and appears to be a small hill. The slope is full of persimmon trees. In the fall, the persimmon trees on the hills are full of fruit, which is very beautiful. At the entrance to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors, a long line of local mountain people, speaking several foreign languages, sell all kinds of tourist souvenirs to the tourists, which is also a rather rare folklore picture that leaves a deep impression on people.

May 3

This day can be arranged to visit the attractions west of Xi'an. The attractions on the west line of Xi'an are far away from Xi'an and can only be visited by following a tour bus. For example, the famous Famen Temple is located in Baoji, 120 kilometers away from Xi'an. The main attractions are:

(1) Famen Temple. Built in the Tang Dynasty. It became famous some years ago when the foundation of the pagoda was cleaned up and the underground palace of the Tang Dynasty was found, containing a large number of precious relics. Especially found a piece of Buddha Shakyamuni's finger bone relics. It is said that after the Buddha nirvana, cremation of the relics obtained by the monks were taken to various places to build temples as rare treasures properly preserved. The so-called relics refer to the glassy crystals in the ashes of monks who had practiced for a long time and had received the true transmission of the teachings: they are regarded as treasures by the Buddhist community. Monks who have relics are believed to have attained the right fruits and passed away. This can not be said to be a strange thing that science can not be explained. This is because modern monks do find relics after they have sat down. I personally thought that this may be related to people's dietary habits, such as long-term vegetarianism. What is even stranger is that according to what the elders there told me, at one of the Buddha's finger bone relic placement ceremonies at the Famen Temple, thousands of monks and good men and women knelt and chanted the sutra. To midnight, the relics will emit a strange color, and levitate to a few inches high from the table. At that time, all the people thought it was the Buddha's manifestation and proclaimed the Buddha's name all over the place, so that it was the same as the sound of the waves. This scene was not only verified by the thousands of people present, but also filmed by the CCTV, which was rumored to be an event. Later, I read an article explaining that it was due to the biofield of thousands of people at that time. This seemed a bit forced and far-fetched to me. What do you mean by biofield? Ever seen one? So I thought, as a religion, since it can be passed down for a long time, there must be its inevitability, its certain

reasoning. Otherwise, it would be strange that it has suffered so many catastrophes and not been defeated. For the attitude of religion can only be the same as for all the attitude of the same doctrine, can not not believe, can not believe, not to mention superstitious. I would also like to point out that the museum at the Famen Temple is an excellent one. There are many national treasures on display. You will be overwhelmed by the splendid culture and exquisite craftsmanship of the Shengtang period, so don't miss it.

(2) Qianling Mausoleum, the tomb of Tang Emperor Li Zhi and Wu Zetian. There are four attractions in this line***, including the tomb of Princess Yongtai, among others. It also opens up the underground tomb passage of the tomb of Princess Yongtai. In particular, I would like to point out that there is a wordless monument of Wu Zetian's tree here, which means that her work in the ancient times will be commented by history, and that there is no need to use other people's south-east, west, north and south-west winds. Although the historical evaluation of Wu Zetian is very different, but from this point alone, can not help but be impressed by the only female emperor in Chinese history. Can not help but her open-mindedness, deep insight into history to express sincere admiration.

May 4

Today we can arrange to visit Mount Hua. Mount Hua is one of the Five Mountains, and I personally think that Mount Hua has the best scenery among the Five Mountains. Its handsome and upright, thrilling and rugged is really above Mount Huangshan, the only thing inferior to Mount Huangshan is the lack of water. Without water, the mountain is less of an aura. Huashan **** there are five peaks, they are: East (Chao

Yang), South (falling geese), West (Lotus), North (Yuntai), in (Jade) five peaks. Five peaks stand tall, high into the clouds. As Du Fu's "looking at the mountain poem" in the description of: "West Yue Qi miso horrified at the respect, the peaks are listed as children and grandchildren". If you climb to the top of the mountain, you will have the feeling that "only the sky is on top, and there is no mountain with the same". Looking around, the mountain ranges are endless. Since ancient times, Huashan Road a, but recently built a new cable car on the mountain (but I thought the tour of the mountain is to rely on two legs to walk, a case of climbing the mountain on the cable car, I think it is a big waste of scenery).

It's easy to get to Mount Hua from Xi'an; there's a direct transportation bus right by the train station that will take you to the foot of the mountain for a dozen or so yuan. In fact, if you have enough energy, you can get to the foot of Mount Hua on the evening of May 3 and go up the mountain overnight. This will be exciting, save time, and save on hotel fees. In the early morning of May 5, you can climb to the East Peak and watch the sunrise from the East Peak. Huashan has less rain, so the chances of seeing the sunrise are greater. There are a lot of people, especially young people who go up the mountain at night. At night, the curved mountain paths are lit up with starry torchlight, like a string of fireflies floating up and down, which is also a strange scenery. Of course, if you are not physically able to do so, you do not have to force yourself. The temperature on the top of Mount Huashan is low, and the wind is very strong, you must bring some clothes in case of accidents. In addition, the mountain less water, meals are expensive, you can bring some mineral water and food in moderation.

The "Yuquan Yuan" at the foot of the mountain is the necessary place to enter the mountain. It is a small park, there is really no scenery to see, often for tourists into the mountain rest feet. There is a 10 yuan fee to buy your way in. You can first look for any paths that can go around. There is no need to delay here.

After the "Yuquanyuan", you are in the mountain. From here to Qingkoping, the trail basically follows a small stream. It's relatively flat, very ordinary road, very ordinary mountain, no very special scenery. After crossing Qingkoping, you say goodbye to the creek, and there is no more water from then on. The mountain road gradually started to steepen, and the scenery gradually became more beautiful. Soon, you can meet a huge stone, called "back to the heart stone", which means that the weak can be advised to turn back. After this stone, the front is the head of Huashan dangerous thousand feet building. See the stone ladder hovering above the cliffs, visitors need to hold the iron rope, hands and feet, along the steep mountain climbing, looking up only to see a line of light, thrilling, daunting. The exit is called "Tianjing" for "Taihua throat. If covered with an iron plate, there is no way up or down.

After the thousand-foot building, to climb the mountain's second hundred-foot gorge. Two walls towering, sandwiched between a huge stone from the sky, known as "shocking stone". Tourists from the stone under the path through, really thrilling. After the immortal bridge, black tiger pine, to the third dangerous pass Laojun plow ditch. This is sandwiched between steep stone walls

A ditch-like path, unpredictable. At the end of the ditch is a steep wall known as the "Rats' Worry". If you go further, you will reach the North Peak.

North Peak, also known as Yuntai Peak, is the key to the other four peaks. The mountain is very steep, three sides are wall, only a mountain ridge to the south, the situation is very dangerous, is easy to defend and difficult to attack. The story of "Taking Mount Hua" happened here. The Taoist temple Zhenwu Palace on the summit is built on the mountain, with a unique shape and pleasant scenery.

After a short rest on the north peak, you can continue south. Through the rubbing ear cliff, on the sky ladder and the Royal Road, will arrive at a long dozens of feet, only two feet wide, the slope is extremely steep ridge, is the Canglong Ridge. Here on both sides of the thousands of feet of the wall, only this ridge leads to the other side. People walking between them, the heart jumps.

After the entrance to the cave, there are two ways to go, it is recommended to take the right path to the West Peak first. The West Peak is the most beautiful and precipitous peak of Mount Hua. Cuiyun Palace at the top of the peak in front of a huge stone shaped like a lotus flower, so it is also known as the Lotus Peak. Here is the "Lotus Lantern" in the Shenxiang split the mountain to save the three Virgin Mary place. Now Cuiyun Palace on the side of a boulder in the middle of the split, such as by the axe, the name "axe split stone". Next to also set up a long axe. The northwest side of the peak, upright as a knife cutting, the air is not ten thousand feet, known as the sheer cliff.

After touring the West Peak, you can go through the Giant Spirit Foot, Alchemy Furnace, Filial Piety Peak, Yanggong Pavilion to the South Peak.

South Peak is the highest peak of Mount Huashan, on the top of which there is a stone monument with the inscription: "Mount Huashan Pole Peak 2160 meters". Pine forests in the mountains for miles, mixed with junipers, shade ramp. On the top of the Laojun Cave, according to legend, the founder of Taoism Laozi lived here. The highest rock on the top of the South Peak has "true source" two big words. In addition to the South Peak there is Laozi Peak, Bagua Pond, these attractions are related to the legend of Laozi. Laojun Cave north of the spring, east of the stream, now known as "Yangtianchi", the spring is green all year round. There is a stone workshop of "South Heavenly Gate" under the cliff on its east side. On the South Peak, there is also the Golden Heavenly Palace built in the Ming Dynasty, also known as the White Emperor Shrine, which is dedicated to Shao Hao, the god of Huashan. In the mountain road from the South Peak to the East Peak there are two other attractions: one is "avoiding the edict cliff", the famous Taoist priest Chen Tuan, in order to avoid the emperor's conscription had to avoid living in the caves here; the other is the long sky trestle, over the trestle really need some courage, trestle according to the cliffs carved out, the following is the abyss, the wind from the bottom of the valley whistling straight upward blowing, clouds in the surroundings! Floating, the tourists need to hand-rail wooden rails, like a toad, close to the cliff, slowly and over, is another dangerous place on Mount Hua.

Further on, you will reach the East Peak. Today you can stay in the Taoist temple on the East Peak. It's quiet and refreshing, and you can be sure you won't miss the sunrise the next morning, so it's an ideal place to stay. But the price of hotels on the mountain is high.

May 5

Wake up in the early hours of the morning to see the sunrise. The best place to see the sunrise is from the sunrise platform at the top of Dongfeng Peak. At this time, the surroundings are still dark, only the star of enlightenment in the sky is blinking. Not long after, the clouds between the sky began to glow and kept changing color, from tile green to pink. This hint of pink quickly expand, the color deepens, turning pink into carmine, reddish red until it turns golden. Soon, a round of red sun from the golden clouds in the gap out, is so red, so soft, not at all harsh. It was a great feeling to watch the red sun rise. When the first sun shines on us, shining on the surrounding mountains, so that everything around us is covered with a layer of golden light, nature is like a mother who has just given birth to a baby, is so quiet and gentle, at this time you will have a sense of holiness, a sense of purification of the soul, a kind of being melted into the pride of nature. This feeling can only be experienced by those who have been there.

After watching the sunrise, you can continue to visit the attractions around the East Peak. On the peak is Sanmao Cave, which has a statue of Chen Tuan inside and a Ganlu Pond outside. Nearby, in front of Qingxu Cave, there is a lonely peak with an iron tile pavilion and an iron chess game on the peak. It is said that Zhao Kuangyin, the founder of Song Dynasty, once played chess with Chen Tuan here, and lost the game, lost Mount Hua to Chen Tuan, and the pavilion was then

named "Gambling Chess Pavilion". Special mention is that there is the second most dangerous place in Huashan: the Harrier's Turn. This is a protruding cliff wall, the bottom of the bottomless, many floating clouds floating below. You have to climb down from the top of the cliff, because it is protruding, you cross the next step of the step is invisible, you have to hang on the cliff with

feet to find the next step of the step. The degree of thrill can be imagined. Therefore, over this dangerous place must have the courage not to. The average person is too scared to try. (Not a must) but it is very exciting. I think the infinite beauty of Mount Hua in the word of the strange and dangerous. Odd and dangerous and beautiful often mirror each other, "strange" to stimulate curiosity; "dangerous" to stimulate the spirit of victory, show their own strength and courage; "beauty" Swing out of the heart of the dust miscellaneous trivia, to achieve and I think this is what people love about Huahua. I think this is the reason why people love Huashan.

After touring the East Peak, you can go down the mountain via the Middle Peak. The middle peak is also known as the Jade Peak. Jade Lady Peak is shaped like a bird's head, on the rich and shrinking. There is a huge stone beam at the top of the peak, shaped like a turtle. On the back of the turtle is the Jade Maiden Shrine. In front of the shrine, there are 5 stone mortars called head-washing basins, and after the shrine, there are attractions such as Pinxiao Terrace and Citing Feng Pavilion. In the peak of the cliff there is a single pine, not see

root, pine branches spreading in the air, the trunk is not scaly and light, the name is the tree of the body. Down the mountain according to the original way back to Xi'an in a hurry.

Back to Xi'an, if the time is not too late, you can take the 2132/2129 train from Xi'an to Yantai to Luoyang. The train departs from Xi'an at 12:19 and arrives in Luoyang at 18:50, and is cheaper at 29 yuan per person. If you can't make it in time, you have to take the K770/K767 train from Xi'an to Wuchang to Luoyang at 14:15 in the afternoon. Arrived in Luoyang at 20:15, this time the car is more expensive, to 56 yuan / person. Night stay in Luoyang.

May 6

Today we start the tour of Luoyang. Luoyang, named for its location on the Yang of the Luo River, is one of the main birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Since King Yu of Zhou moved the capital to Luoyi in 770 B.C., 13 dynasties have built their capitals here for more than 1,500 years in history. The long history has left Luoyang with a glorious cultural heritage. The most famous tourist attraction in Luoyang is the Longmen Grottoes. The Longmen Grottoes, together with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and the Yungang Grottoes in Datong, are known as the three major grottoes in China. The Longmen Grottoes were mainly excavated during the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Wu Zetian Period of the Tang Dynasty. One of the largest and most famous is the Fengtian Temple Grottoes cut in the Song Dynasty. Inside the Buddha modeling graceful and elegant, the face of the God, wearing clothing clear lines, folds like. Caves in the relief carvings exquisite and gorgeous, flying sky, music and music plays in a thousand different forms, vivid. In particular, the "emperor and queen of the Buddha ritual map" relief is the most famous. Longmen Grottoes representative caves are Goyang Cave, Binyang Cave, Lotus Cave, Medicine Cave, Watching the Scripture Cave, Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, Qianxi Cave, Dawanwufo Cave and so on. Tour these grottoes to have a deep artistic training, in order to appreciate the elegance of the style. Laymen like us, walking around, it is very difficult to see the way out of the door. But can not help but be impressed by the huge scale of the grottoes. I often wonder, Buddhism, as a religion, can conquer so many people's hearts, in order to show devotion to the Buddha, willing to decades for a day, for which to pay so much, it can not help but make people feel surprised.

Speaking of the Longmen Grottoes, I can not help but think of my argument with a classmate. My very good classmate is engaged in historical research, belongs to the kind of bookworm in the ivory tower of learning. At that time, he was engaged in the evolution of successive generations of clothing research. Speaking of the Longmen Grottoes, the man as a family treasure, citing the classics, said a

cave which statue of the artistic achievement of how high, how skillful knife, how the curve is how the soft and beautiful. You see that the train like silk as flowing. And said Tianshui Maijishan Grottoes of the Buddha's face is more plump, according to Guo Lao's testimony is the work of which dynasty, blowing the sky. I should say: "China's three major grottoes and Tianshui's Maijishan Grottoes I have been, if the murals of Dunhuang's Mogao Caves in the Flying Sky and that the gracefulness of the lady playing the pipa can be abstracted into the 'Silk Road Flowers and Rain' in the dance, then how can I not be hard to the texture of rock and I can't associate the hard texture of rock with the flow of silk.

The curves of the statue make no difference to me. If I could still recognize the strength or softness of the blade through the angles of the seal carving, I would not be able to do so with the statues. The same curves, I've never seen a Buddha statue with straight corners and sharp edges." Classmates are a face of confusion, followed by a look of disdain to, I immediately read his subtext from his eyebrows: you are too ignorant too no taste. Because very familiar, I said bluntly: "I'm not your graduate student. Originally on the natural landscape, including the appreciation of works of art, is benevolent, wise things, there is not a unified standard. You remember when we went to Mount Lu to visit, together to find Li Siguang first discovered the remains of the Quaternary glacier equally confused. You must also remember the emperor's new clothes this fable, you will not be because of a everyone said something and pointed to the deer for the horse. Once upon a time, we took a picture of the cave of the immortals taken by Jiang Qing and went to look for the cave of the immortals. It stunk and was a big bummer. After coming back, I cursed those flattering pat on the back of the "Gang of Four" mouthpiece of the pathetic? They are not lengthy touting that photo with light how how high, Mount Lushan's scenery on the number of immortal hole good? Now it seems how childish! You and I engaged in different professions, I do not want to your academic thinking, because the depth and breadth of your professional has far beyond my cognitive scope. I just want to expound my understanding of nature, including the art of the point of view, which is to use their own sensibility to experience, to appreciate, to pursue the inner flavor. Do not follow blindly, do not be gullible. Do you think so?" The outcome of the argument is irrelevant, and the bookworm doesn't necessarily agree with me. What is important is to reveal that traveling is a very personal activity. It is not surprising that the same attraction will be evaluated very differently due to the different culture, life experience and viewing point of view of each person. So go to travel to the heart to go, to melt their hearts in nature, so that the greatest pleasure and purification; the face of such a vast and wonderful nature, will feel that the individual is very small, will experience the glory and shame are forgotten realm. But there are still so part of the people are only limited to the stage of the cloud, or still like the Monkey King, tour of Xi'an should pay attention to the matter: up to a bubble of monkey urine, satisfied with the tour here, take some photos to remember the end of the tourist mode, rarely go to make a deeper pursuit, which can not be said to be a pity. To put it politely, this way of traveling can only be some more in front of other people in the future to show off the capital only, in addition to nothing to gain.

Luoyang has some other attractions can be visited. For example, after the Longmen Grottoes, across the Yishui Bridge, there is the tomb of the famous poet Bai Yiju. Standing in front of Bai Yiju's tomb, the Longmen Grottoes can be seen from across the river. Another famous scenic spot is the White Horse Temple, one of China's earliest Buddhist temples. It occupies an important position in the history of Buddhism in China.

After visiting Luoyang, you can take the 1660 train to Shanghai which departs from Luoyang at 20:32 and arrives at Shanghai Station at 14:08 p.m. on May 7.

Notes about Xi'an:

(1) Xi'an's law and order is a bit chaotic. Especially the thieves, there is a well-trained, very fighting Thief Kingdom **** and the National Guard. Especially some unassuming little bitty kids that can magically turn your pockets rich into nothing. That's why it's important to keep large sums of money in a close pocket, except for the day's necessary expenses.

(2) All scenic spots in Xi'an charge entrance fees, and the trend is gradually increasing. A trip to Xi'an can be costly when you count the entrance fees alone.

Perhaps Xi'an's cultural deposits are too deep, perhaps Xi'an city lack of green, from Xi'an travel back, always feel a little depressed. Feel less bright colors. To a number of years later, turn over the dusty memories, I am afraid to stay in addition to the gray of the Loess Plateau, only the yellow of the pile of old paper. Please look at Xi'an with a normal heart, do not expect too much of her, because it is, after all, the cradle of the Chinese nation ah!
