(1) The tits are crowing at dawn: at the beginning of the piece, a long tone is played by suona, followed by the shadow of a hundred birds singing together, suona plays a stretching and beautiful prelude with singing, in which short phrases of proximity are staggered as if they were a pair of songs, forming a amusing and witty music with a great sense of life. After the suona's fresh and melodious music, the piece imitates the cuckoo's call, and the accompanying instrument, the bamboo flute, competes with it, fully displaying the beautiful mood of the tits crowing at dawn.
(2) Spring Returns to the Earth: This is a piece of music with a strong local flavor and the rough and cool style of northern folk music, beautiful and smooth. The theme of the piece is played directly and clearly. This section of music is characterized by a cheerful mood and a varied atmosphere, which provides a psychological preparation for the appearance of the analog tone in the next section.
(3) Songs and Dances:In the accompaniment, the oboe freely simulates various bird calls, while the accompaniment is accompanied by stretching rhythms and beautiful melodies, which strengthens the musicality of the piece.
(4) Playing in the forest: short phrases replace the long phrases in front, and the music seems to be active, as if people are playing in the mountains and forests.
(5) Hundred Birds: This is the second time that the sound of various birds is simulated, giving full play to all the skills of the suona, and the scene of the birds singing is beautifully portrayed.
(6) Joyful Song and Dance:The mood of the piece continues to move forward as the tempo lightens. When the orchestra comes to an abrupt end, the suona unexpectedly makes a cicada sound in tongues, which is very authentic and delightful.
(7) The Phoenix Spreads Its Wings:With the acceleration of the tempo of the piece and the repeated advancement of the short and small tone patterns, the music enters into a climax, after which the flashy section of the suona emerges, bringing the jubilant mood to the extreme.
(8) Wings in the air: this is the continuation of the climax passage, the music becomes more and more enthusiastic, and the scene of a hundred birds singing in unison appears once again, and a short coda ends the whole piece. There is a final section of ending music, called the "thank you" section. Its enthusiastic and cheerful melody and the sound of birds and chirping, fully expresses the vibrant natural scenery.
