Early experience
Deric Wan has been a singer since he was a child. Influenced by several uncles, he likes singing. When he was in middle school, he began to take part in singing competitions and won the championship and runner-up.
1982, 15 people stopped participating in the "First Rookie Singing Contest" held by TVB. A week later, a female directors from TVB called him to audition for RTHK and was accepted. 1At the end of 982, Deric Wan, who was still in high school, joined RTHK to host the children's program Banana Boat.
