I. Schedule:

The earliest competition will be the mixed doubles round-robin curling tournament two days before the opening ceremony, which will be preceded by the mixed doubles round-robin curling tournament the day before, the women's preliminary rounds of ice hockey, and the freestyle Skiing Men's and Women's Snow Skills Qualifying.

The men's short program, the women's short program and the ice dance rhythmic dance of the figure skating team competition, the curling mixed pairs round-robin, and the ice hockey women's preliminaries will be held on the day of the opening ceremony. The closing day will feature the men's ice hockey final, the women's curling final, the quad snowmobile final, the women's cross-country skiing 30-kilometer team start final and the figure skating show skating.

There will be six competition days for short-track speed skating, and five of figure skating's 12 competition units will be held in the evening. Because the ski jump venue is in Beijing and the other snowboarding and freestyle skiing events are in Zhangjiakou, athletes in the big jump and slope obstacle course combined events will need to switch between the Beijing and Zhangjiakou venues.

The establishment of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee marks the official launch of the preparations for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

On October 19, 2017, Zhang Jiandong, deputy mayor of Beijing and executive vice chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, revealed that the construction of venues and infrastructure for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics had begun in full swing.
