She is the first "people's park" in Xinxiang, where the blood of the Revolution of 1911 is boiling, and it is also the gathering place of Weihe culture in Xinxiang, and the most gentle spiritual home of Xinxiang people. ...
The spring breeze in the coming year, here, is comparable to the romantic cherry rain of Wu Da, which will be blown down. ...

Recalling the past: the eventful years are infinitely thick.
Go to the movies! (Photographed by Vivian Chow at 1980)
The above picture is from Memory of Weihe River (edited by Li Baoqin). The book says that in the 1980s, Weihe Park was a good place for people to have fun. There was a time when movies were shown here every day. Adults watch it once 1 cent, and children watch it for 5 cents. Because money was "valuable" at that time, many people climbed trees to see it in order to "evade tickets", and several people stood in a row and looked through the door. ...

Although it has been turned over and over almost all the time, there are several movies such as Mine War or Tunnel War, but no matter how many times you watch it, it makes people feel "very interesting"!
It is understood that the units in Weihe Park at that time included Xinxiang City Group Art Museum, City Song and Dance Troupe, City Painting and Calligraphy Institute, City Library Printing House, City Advertising Company, City Cultural Bureau Labor Service Company, City Advertising Company Color Printing Factory, City Cultural Bureau Warehouse, Great Wall Tanzi Chicken Company, City Cultural Bureau Labor Service Company Farm and so on, which carried the most prosperous memories of a city in the fireworks of life.

Here, the sound of the strings of silk and bamboo has played the most harmonious and simple life notes of one side.
However, with the development of the times, the "Crescent River" in the park is seriously silted up and the water level has dropped a lot. In June 2002, Xinxiang used a mud pump for mechanical dredging, and by the end of August 2002, 27,500 cubic meters of earthwork had been cleared.

In order to further enhance the "garden" attribute of Weihe Park, in June, 2004 10, Xinxiang City Construction Committee issued a document to demolish all residential houses in Weihe Park and move out of relevant units. In June 2004, the Municipal Construction Committee issued the document "Xinjian Guanzi (2004) No.028" to fully mobilize the demolition work.

After the last relocated household moved away, a large sculpture of "Lady Lou" was built here.
From June 2004 to the spring of 2007, more than 50 households in the park/kloc-0 were resettled, and many units stationed in the park moved out, and houses13,000 square meters were demolished.
Two?
East, West and China: Their respective glories are integrated.
Weihe Park was first built in 1924. It was built in memory of two martyrs, Zhang Zong and her violent husband, who participated in the revolution in 19 1 1 until their death. Formerly known as "Zhang Bao Garden", it is the earliest garden park in Xinxiang. In order to commemorate the revolutionary achievements of Bao and Zhang, 1924, Yu Youren, Hu Jingyi, Zhang Fang, Yang Hucheng, Deng Baoshan, Wang and others 15 proposed to build a cemetery for them. Guo Zhongyu and Han Jingya, friends from northern Henan, raised funds to build Zhang Bao Park on 30 mu of cultivated land near Weihe River in Xinxiang. There are portraits and cultural relics exhibitions of Zhang Bao and Zhang Bao in the memorial hall of the main building of the park, and there are monuments, pavilions and monuments behind the memorial hall. Now only the Zhang Bao Memorial Hall is left.
Under the octagonal pavilion, the heroic spirit of the martyr Zhang Bao will last forever.
After liberation, it was called "people's park" and "cultural park", and later called "old park", which was relative to the newly built "Xinxiang People's Park" in the 1960s. 1982 changed its name to "Weihe Park".
The park covers an area of 128 mu, and the Weihe River passes through the park. Characterized by highlighting the history and culture of Xinxiang, it is divided into three areas by using classical gardening techniques:
1
Eastern District: Rule of Law Square
The main function of this area is to publicize the rule of law and configure flower lawns. In addition to the cherry blossoms mentioned at the beginning of the article, a theme park of "The Covenant of Roses" was also created. Twenty-six varieties of Chinese rose have been introduced, and tens of thousands of different kinds of Chinese rose flowers are competing to open, with a long fragrance.
The rattan frame of Chinese rose is a good place to take pictures when it blooms.
2
West Zone: Ping 'an Square
Traffic lights and zebra crossings in Weihe Park
20 16 in order to build a propaganda position of Xinxiang's peaceful legal culture, relying on the beautiful environment of Weihe Park, cultural elements such as peaceful legal system, fraud prevention, public security and drug control were integrated. Therefore, Weihe Park now has another name-Xinxiang Ping 'an Culture Theme Park.
The main function of this area is civilized traffic propaganda. There is an antique promenade by the river, where you can read and recite poems. On the west side of the promenade is a square of 1500 square meters. In order to facilitate traffic safety education for children, zebra crossings and simulated traffic lights are set up in the square, and even benches for citizens to rest have the element of "120".
Jinboting
On the south side of the square is the group art museum, and behind the promenade is the "Jinbo Pavilion". Now, when the sun sets, you can still see the magnificent scenery of a river protecting water in Jinboge Park, which is "colorful as gold".

Central District: Weihe Culture+Heshuo Library
Heshuo library
The theme is to show the history of Weihe Park, the shipping history of Weihe River, Heshuo Library and Xinxiang. The Heshuo Library, built in 1935, is the only library in Xinxiang after liberation. 1980, after the new city library was built, it was changed to "Xinxiang Mass Art Museum".

In addition, there is good news. Next spring, Weihe Park in Xinxiang will have a romantic "cherry blossom appointment" with you.

The temperature in Xinxiang is getting colder and colder these days, but the staff in Weihe Park are busy planting cherry trees. This year, Weihe Park introduced more than 100 "Japanese Early Cherry Blossoms", which will be planted along the banks of the river in the park. It will take three years to turn Weihe Park into a cherry blossom viewing resort in Xinxiang.

Only 100 trees? You think it's a little short? !
To tell you quietly, Wuhan University has only seventy or eighty cherry trees. ......
Are you looking forward to the coming of spring?
But the "old park" is still worth looking forward to.
Not only next year's cherry blossoms,
What do you know about her?
