Heshan is named after a mountain shaped like a crane in the city. It is one of the famous overseas Chinese hometowns. Wang Zebang: founder of Wanglaoji herbal tea. Hu Die (胡蝶): a movie actress in the 1930s, the earliest "Queen of Movies" in China. Leung Tsan: Wing Chun masters who came to Heshan. In Gulao Township, Heshan City, there is a world-famous water township, where fishing boats sing in the evening, fishponds and ancient banyan trees crisscross the landscape, and small bridges and rivers flow. Gulao water township is also known as Venice in Lingnan.
Just arrived at the water township, I marveled, like a pearl wrapped in sand mussels, never discovered. The red walled houses with green tiles are arranged in a staggered manner by the pond, reflected in the water, rippling with the wind, the whole picture becomes vivid. Sitting on a small wooden boat, walk slowly along the green water in the district. Mulberry vines are planted on the embankment, and the green grass stretches for miles. Fishermen cast their nets to catch fish, which is a pleasant idyllic scene.

In the showroom of the water town, the old kitchen, benches, and fishermen's food on wooden tables conveyed a strong sense of life. In the room with the dragon boat, there are two large dragon boat flags hanging on the wall. It seems to record the unique local Sanjiao Dragon Boat Race, where the dragon flag is raised and the men, driven by dragon drums, are neatly organized in a spectacular manner.

The next day was the main event, the Little Village Beef Festival in Longkou Town. Initially, Longkou village's ancestor was named Yuanhe by the Northern Wei emperor Wu Tai, who became the king of Xiping. He came from the northern nomads and belonged to one of the ancient Xianbei people during the North and South Dynasties. He has been here for more than 700 years.
To this day, there are still relatively complete ancient buildings preserved here. Although they have been baptized by the years, we can see from the old buildings that they still look magnificent. Even the wall decorations on the windows are carved and written, with elaborate materials and exquisite workmanship. It is evident that they were rich back then.
The village has large and small ponds with old banyan houses reflected in the water. One building becomes two, two trees become four. Everywhere there are glimpses and sights.
Boys and girls in national costumes sing and dance and ride high horses through all the old Ma Shi alleys. Watching the girls, it was as if time had been turned back, as if we had returned to the grassland tribes where the wind blew the grass low and the cows were at peace
Arrived just in time for the Beef Festival. I won't mention the authentic food here, the price is quite reasonable. The price per capita is less than 70 yuan. It's really the conscience of the industry.

Just like yesterday when I left the water village, the lush canopy and thick trunk of the huge banyan tree at the entrance of the village silently told them how old they were, and the village elders sat under the tree as the sun set. I've been to a lot of places I've never been to again. But to this day, there are still beautiful "butterflies" and even lotus flowers in the sky. I look forward to seeing you in June.
