Guangzhou East Lake Park (commonly known as East Lake Park), one of the four major artificial lake parks in Guangzhou, is located to the east of the North Approach Bridge of Haiyin Bridge, east of the Zhudao Hotel, south of the Pearl River, north of the Turtle Heights business district. The park was built in 1958 and opened on May 1, 1959 to visitors. The land area is about 12.2 hectares and the lake area is 20.914 hectares. The park is equipped with restaurants, cafes, dance halls, activity centers for the elderly and individual amusement facilities, and has gradually become a comprehensive park integrating sightseeing, culture and sports, entertainment and rest. The "Spring Dawn of East Lake" was listed as one of the eight scenic spots of Yangcheng in 1963.
